    2017~2025 Hood Lift Struts Installed

Since virtually all of the hood struts are made in China, they are probably okay. If I didn't already have mine, I would most likely go for this deal. Offer him $19. He will probably counter offer with $20. It's a game. You are probably looking at about 2 to 3 weeks for delivery. No big...

    2017~2025 Hood Lift Struts Installed

Same here. Years ago I bought a brand new Chrysler Lazer. It had struts for the back hatch, which was very heavy. After a couple of years, during very cold weather in Colorado Springs, it slowly began to fail. When raised, it would begin to slowly drop. I suppose if I had let it go very...

    Coding the Mazda CX-5

Sorry, but definitely NO. Unfortunately we don't have a RossTech, VAGCom like some others do. I sure miss being able to play with that but I still have it, just to help others. I traded my last VAGCom, a 2015 VW, Tiguan, just a few weeks ago for the CX-5.

    Door mirror adjustment

If you find that the mirror head has not been folded back using its stow away postion, try forcing the glass to move with your thumb. Push on the outside of the mirror forward and you will hear it click or ratchet. See if that helps.

CX-5 Four way headrest, anything fit?

In the case where you wife finds the head rest too close to her, she can adjust it, here is how. Simply lower the back of the seat a bit so that you can fully remove the head rest. Hold the button in until it is completely free of the seat back. Then reverse it and put it back into the...

    2017~2025 Hood Lift Struts Installed

Yes, the OEM prop rod is good back up insurance and since it's already there, one might as well use it. On my cars, I always use the prop rod along with the hydraulic lifts if I am going to leave the hood up for an extended period of time.

2017+ CX-5 front and rear bumper trim

Most, if not all of these pieces, are made in China. If you purchase them from a Chinese vendor, they can be had for as little as just a bit over $100 and I am talking about Stainless Steel only. I have been researching them for quite a while and can't decide. I do like the way they look but...

    2017~2025 Hood Lift Struts Installed

Since all hood struts are made in China, you can save more than 50% by purchasing directly from there. The shipping time is only about 2 weeks. This is where I purchased mine. Regardless as to where you purchase them from, they sure do make life a lot easier...

    2017~2025 Chrome Haters, Beware :)

The sun is soooo bright today that it washes out a lot of details. Of course, I don't have a filter on my cell phone camera. Here's the best I can do for now.

    2017~2025 Hood Lift Struts Installed

Because our CX-5 hoods are so heavy, I thought there was a definite purpose for these struts. They make the hood literally weightless when raising and keep the hood totally neutral when closing. I put these on my 2016 MX-5 GT about 2 years ago and knew they were worth every penny. The hood on...

    2017~2025 Chrome Haters, Beware :)

lowincash Because the chrome mirror caps are not that expensive, why not get them and try spraying to see if they come out looking good. The worst that can happen is that the one cap that you spray doesn't suit you so you remove the paint and sell the mirrors at a discounted price. At least...

Really disappointed with paint thickness :(

Type these words into the search area of Ebay and you will find all the cups you can handle. All years are covered. "cx-5 door handle cups chrome"

    2017~2025 Chrome Haters, Beware :)

These are purchased separately from different vendors. You can buy either the top, bottom or both. The lower piece came with a double sided tape that was not 3M so I removed it and put on my own 3M tape.

    2017~2025 Chrome Haters, Beware :)

Finally received all of the chromed parts for my outside rear view mirrors and installed them today. IMHO, well worth the wait. But then, I love chrome. For those of you who prefer a brushed finish, these can be lightly sanded with a very fine grit, wet paper. I prefer the highly polished look.

2018 Mazda CX-5 jerky at low speeds

Yep, I have it too. I know this is not the cause but it actually feels like the disc brakes are warped and we are riding the brake at a slow speed.

2017~2025 Fill Up the Rear Bumper Exhaust Cut Outs with Stainless Steel

Thanks. Yes, they should have come from the factory with these kinds of tips but glad they didn't. Now mine is unique. :) The OEM tips are welded. IMHO, these are, without a doubt, the most beautiful exhaust tips I have ever seen and the quality is superb. I suspect Mazda would never spend...

2017~2025 Fill Up the Rear Bumper Exhaust Cut Outs with Stainless Steel

A few weeks ago, someone on this forum submitted a picture of the rear of his CX-5 with larger than OEM, exhaust tips. Then, someone asked him for additional information. To my knowledge, none was forthcoming. I haven't been able to locate the original post. Perhaps someone else remembers...

Post Pictures of Your CX-5 Mods, Upgrades and Accessories!

Unfortunately, not enough for any added peace of mind regarding door dings. I estimate only about an inch from the widest part of the body sheet metal. Where the side steps or running boards help is when a door is opened. It then exposes a large area for extra footing when either entering...
