Looking For Touch Up Paint Match 25D Snowflake White Pearl

Thanks for the info and link. They are less expensive than Automotive Touchup, for sure. That is a big waste of money for a couple of paint pens that will never get used, by either of us. I wrote to Automotive Touchup a week ago and have been put on "Ignore". I simply asked if they have a...

    Apparently I like Gray...

I am also glad that your wife came out of that accident with no injuries. There's no doubt that the CX-5 is built for safety. It's interesting, however, that you are stuck on the gray colors. Also of interest is that gray vehicles are some of the most difficult to see by other drivers...

    Vent Visors Question

As is the 2018 glass. Perhaps the 2017 has the same as well but I am not sure of the latter. I know that my 2018 is so quiet at highway speeds that even the tiniest of change is very noticeable.

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

In all probability, it can still be repaired. The repair process uses very high pressure to force the acrylic adhesive into the hole. It appears to be smooth on both sides but undoubtedly the hole is very tiny. However, the longer you wait to get it repaired, the more it will show because...

Looking For Touch Up Paint Match 25D Snowflake White Pearl

I usually have great success with "Automotive Touchup Paint Pens" but not this time. I purchased this pen several months ago when I first got my 2018 CX-5. Later, when I contacted them, they said this should be the right color but as you can see, the spot fix is darker. The paint pen is...

    2017~2025 CX-5 Roof Rails/Crossbars from eBay

Yep, when in doubt, always get documentation. You could even ask the seller if these bars are manufactured to OEM specs and quality. I think you may just be seeing shadowing. However, as you probably already know, the bars you are looking at are considerably more expensive than the black...

    2017~2025 CX-5 Roof Rails/Crossbars from eBay

According to the description of this product, the seller indicates that the cross bars are made of aluminum which are silver in color, naturally. He also indicates a 3 year warranty. Of course, the warranty and a dollar will get you a cup of coffee. The very first thing you must do is ask the...

    Tape for mounting dash cam?

In addition to the Isopropyl alcohol that sm1ke suggested, use a specific kind of 3M tape. I use 3M, VHB tape. It will hold anything forever. As you may have noticed, I live in southern Arizona. It gets very hot here if in direct sun. I use the above tape for both of my front cameras and...

Piano Black on the interior. You guys are right about scratching easily.

Yes. I had to cut an opening with my Dremel but it still looks better than the original polished ABS.

Piano Black on the interior. You guys are right about scratching easily.

Unfortunately I don't remember the specific sellers because I have deleted that info. However, I did get them from ebay. I found them in the first place by doing a search for stainless steel, 2018 CX-5. If I remember correctly, there were several vendors involved in order to get the SS door...

    Dead Pedal / Sport Pedals

You must be awfully hard on your vehicles if you think you can wear them out in 2 years. Especially the after-market ones many of us have gotten. They are cast aluminum with plenty of rubber non-slip material inserted in them. Also, there is no way they will come off unintentionally. But, I...

    Dead Pedal / Sport Pedals

What's wrong with after market in your opinion as compared to OEM?

Piano Black on the interior. You guys are right about scratching easily.

All of my interior Piano Black is covered with Stainless Steel in both the front and back. I got tired of polishing this shiny ABS plastic. Yes, it's possible to remove those spider scratches and yes, it looks beautiful when you do, however, it will have to be done almost constantly. The...

Windshield Scratches after using ice scraper

Many years ago, and I believe it was mainly GM cars, when the wipers were parked, they were lifted a fraction of an inch off of the windshield. This prevented dirt from getting trapped on the wipers like they do on today's vehicles. Unfortunately, modern vehicles no longer have a "windshield...

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

I guess I misunderstood him. I was under the impression that he was looking for after market parts as opposed to OEM parts.

Ebay is a good place to start your search.

    Dead Pedal / Sport Pedals

I have had my pedals installed for almost a year with no problems. However, I did opt to add 4 screws to the dead pedal for a little extra security. Just go with the double sided tape and if it begins to fail, you can always do what I did. But I think it will be okay with just the tape.

    19 gt-r drl?

From personal experience, I can tell you that the Greyhound Bus Company was using their headlights as DRLs in 1955 for safety purposes. I, too, am a firm supporter of DRLs and every other safety device available. Human life and health is priceless. Oops, sorry to get off topic. I love my LED...

Can anyone recommend a good headlight sealant?

Okay, since you are the originator of this thread and got off topic, so can I. :) You mentioned having sun "Shades". So, may I assume that you have multiple shades? If so, definitely the windshield shade is extremely important. However, after market tint for the rest of the windows is also...

Can anyone recommend a good headlight sealant?

If you did absolutely nothing to protect the clear plastic, it would be years before any haze would become apparent. Does your vehicle sit out in the direct sun, all day, every day? All I have ever done to protect my clear plastic is to wax it regularly, using regular car wax. Most quality...
