Dangerous cylinder deactivation trouble on 2018 CX-5 and Mazda6 models

It wouldn't surprise me that a dealership charging $800 dollars would lie about finding something really wrong. After all, very few places will let you watch the mechanic.

2016 CX5 front leather seat wear issue

Leather that is "finished" has a very thin plastic coating on it to make it relatively water and stain proof. Most, if not all, leather vehicle upholstery is finished. Apparently there is something attacking or deteriorating that plastic finish in your vehicle. It could be something carried...

Dangerous cylinder deactivation trouble on 2018 CX-5 and Mazda6 models

By now, you have read the advice that Tran7270 gave you and it is really good. BTW, the Certified Pre-Owned warranties on used vehicles aren't free. It will add a couple thousand dollars to the net price. But I think in most cases, they are a good idea. I love warranties. They give me a lot...

    CX-5 Exhaust tip pics?

When I ordered these, I really didn't think they would be as high of a quality as they are because the price was so reasonable. I have seen tips that look pretty bad that cost more. Also, they are very heavy due to the double wall.

    CX-5 Exhaust tip pics?

You can explain to your wife that if you had an MX-5 in the garage, just think of the additional storage space you'd have. You are just trying to be efficient. BTW, my CX-5 tips are actually double walled.

Windshield sunshade recommendations for new CX-5?

Like the majority of CX-5 owners who are concerned about sun damage and interior heat, why not have your windows tinted. This will give you almost 100% UV protection, even while driving your vehicle when you would normally not have the shields in place.

    Hang Tag Question

No. The OEM cameras are flush against the windshield so a hang tag cannot get between them. Also, the same goes for dash cams, of which I have a front and rear. But I thought that in most, if not all states, it's against the law to drive with one hanging from the rear view mirror. Of course...

    The CX-5 LED Lighting Thread

Please read my post again. That was not a "Typo". "One Per Side" means, "One Per Side". Put the resistors in the tail lights because there is more room to work in the back. Again..........One Per Side.

    The CX-5 LED Lighting Thread

The right and left turn signals are the only ones that require a resistor. Only one per side. Necessary to prevent hyperflash. See my mod. https://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123865805-LED-Turn-Signals-Conversion&highlight= The rest of the incandescent bulbs are plug and play for...

    Gas Problems

What's the worst thing that could possibly happen if it is a gasoline leak? An explosion? A fire? You burn to death? Of course it could be a big problem. Since you have a brand new car, I believe it is still under warranty and I suggest you waste no time getting to your dealer's service...

Dangerous cylinder deactivation trouble on 2018 CX-5 and Mazda6 models

Mine has just over 10,000 miles on it. Several times over the past couple of weeks I have tried to recreate this problem to no avail. No matter how much I try to abuse my CX-5 engine, no Limp Mode has occurred. All of this has been done on an Interstate in very light traffic situations...

Not unless you can travel at least 20 mph while sitting there. :)

Do you read prior posts on this thread prior to your posting? Just curious.

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

Non-Canbus. Also, if you are converting your turns to LEDs, one resistor pack will be required for each side. Install at the taillight end because it is easy access to the wiring. The resistors are necessary to prevent hyper blinking...

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

That is absolutely correct and unfortunately there are many dealerships (not the majority) that fail to check tire pressures.

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

I have converted absolutely every incandescent bulb to LEDs in both my MX-5 and CX-5, inside and out. Let me assure you, the Vanity Mirror lights in the CX-5 can be changed to LEDs. Unfortunately, it has been quite a while since I did them so don't remember what type they are. I know for sure...

    Probably a Dumb Question

As the old saying goes, "There is no such thing as a dumb question". The fact that there is something you want to know and do not have the answer, the only way to get the answer is to ask the question. Okay, enough about that. Your question was a good one. However, there is only one problem...
