To verify that it comes from Nav, pop the SD card out before starting the car and drive through a known light or speed camera. If it doesn’t sound off like previously, then you know from whence it comes.

It’s part of the roadway database on the SD Card. You have Nav, correct? It’s only as current as the last database version.

VIN starts with J for Japan-made.

I can see where this could be a problem on long downhills, unless of course you downshift appropriately to slow the vehicle.

CarPlay (and AA I presume) provides this functionality on most if not all supported apps. Not sure if phone as USB device does - give it a try.

How’s your battery? Is it more than 3 years old? An old/flaky battery could cause symptoms like this. If in doubt, take it to a parts place like Autozone or Pep Boys for a free test. Might need to take it somewhere for more in-depth testing. (Load test?)

One of the features I like on many Continental Tires is the scored D/W/S markings on the tread. When the S wears away, the tire is no longer good for Snow. Same for W & D when no longer good for Wet and then Dry.

GV70 is a very sharp looking rig, no doubt but we haven’t even seen anything half-way authoritative on the CX-50 design.

I suspect that there are informal agreements among dealers in some areas to not discount above x% off MSRP. (Collusion, anyone?) In other areas, free market rules. The cars cost the dealers with like sales volumes the same, so why, otherwise, do discounts vary so much?

Don’t waste your time negotiating in person. You’re playing their game when you do. Do all your “negotiating” via email with bid rounds with multiple dealers. Get initial quotes from all dealers you’re willing to buy from. Then give the rest of them the opportunity to beat the low bid. Rinse...

Think about the General Altimax RT43 (?) tires. Pretty good and a lot cheaper than Continentals.
