New CX-5, high pitched whine at 80 km/h (50 mph)

Don’t you just hate it when someone points out a minor annoyance you hadn’t noticed, and then you just can’t unhear it? I say turn up the tunes and cover it up.

New CX-5 GT. Install Amazon NAV SD card concerns ("Page Cannot Be Found")

Before going 63 miles(?), I did a diskcopy, which should create an exact dup of the original card, except it didn’t copy the unlocked license file (not yet locked to the vehicle).

New CX-5 GT. Install Amazon NAV SD card concerns ("Page Cannot Be Found")

To create a backup, I tried it using a windows diskcopy. It did not work. Apparently the license file didn’t come along for the copy. Looked at both SD cards showing hidden files and they were identical. Must be deeply hidden lol.

CX-5 Active Safety Features - Lane-Keep Assist help

Passive not equal to Inattentive I am constantly scanning forward and rearward for other vehicles and hazards. Passive, but ready to react. Just want to not have to also tweak steering constantly.

CX-5 Active Safety Features - Lane-Keep Assist help

I disagree. On a long drive, constantly adjusting to center your car takes effort and attention, and reduces your capacity to observe what else is going on around you. You only have so much attention, and I’d rather save mine for defensive driving rather than rote steering. Who said anything...

CX-5 Active Safety Features - Lane-Keep Assist help

On a long drive, I’m looking to reduce fatigue the the lowest level possible. On a twisty road, I’m looking for sharp driving dynamics. Is there something wrong with wanting both in the same vehicle? Mazda is the only major manufacturer that doesn’t offer lane centering. Time to remedy that to...

CX-5 Active Safety Features - Lane-Keep Assist help

Lack of lane centering is a deal breaker for me. It is a killer feature for long road trips. I sure hope it’s on the CX-50! As for ‘more control’, a button to turn it off satisfies that requirement without denying lane centering to those who want it.
