    Voltage Problem ??

Have everything load tested but yeah it sounds like you regulator is going bad. Now the bad news, it's part of the alternator so if it is you have to replace the alternator.

integra guy looking at p5: education please!

Handling from the Integra to the Protege5 isn't all that different. We swapped my wife's Integra GS-R for a P5 in '02 and while there is a noticable different in power on the top end it's not bad and it does have a little more torque on the low end. Try to go private party used as you'll save...

Question for people with aftermerket plug wires

The relocation looks great but I think I would be worried about the coils being that close to the headers. Seems like you'd lose some power through heat soak.

Time for new Tires - what to get?

Just went with a set of Pirelli P-Zero Nero M&S 205/50R16s on Saturday for the wife's P5 and they handle and grip a lot better than the stock Dunlops, but almost anything has to.

    Pro5 Alarm System

Do not put the shock sensor on a solid piece of metal it will not work as well, it'll end up only protecting the front and not the rear of the car. It is designed to pick up very subtle motions that would be felt on a wire harness but not through the body of the car.

    Help! With power drain..

Let's try something even more simple. What size power and ground wire are you running to the amp now? It should be at leats 6-ga if you are drawing 800 watts RMS, 4-ga would be even better especially if you have another amp for your mids and highs. If the power wire is too small you will see...

    AUTO lock & unlockon handbrake

Have you set the duration on the pulse timer? The whole purpuse of it is that you have a variable output of 1-90 seconds on the output from initiation of the input trigger. It shouldn't be staying on once the output timer is set.

People of OT, hear my cry...

Luckezero is dead right with what to do. This year the limit for an IRA is $4000, so put that amount away in to it right now. It may seem silly at the moment but in 10 years of compounded interest you'll be loving it when you have $10-15,000 doloars in your account and have a real job that is...

    AUTO lock & unlockon handbrake

The trigger wire will tag in to the already existing line coming from the e-brake and the output wires will both be wired to the door lock trigger wire in the driver's kick panel, with the resistor in line like stated above. Not sure of the colors for both but the e-brake one is self evident...

    Tiling Floors

I wouldn't worry about time, I'm still working on redoing my kids' bathroom, three months later. I've actually got the backer board, drywall and tub done. Now I have to finish the third coat of mud and start tiling everything. So do you have finished pics for us to see?

    AUTO lock & unlockon handbrake

Just order a DEI Pulse Timer Relay, it's a 528T. It'll take a single positive or negative input and let you have a variable timed output trigger from it, again either positive or negative and do the reverse when the trigger is released. This will eliminate everything except the resistor needed...

    Where are the relays at?

I would check over the HVAC controls carefully. From what you discribed happening I would say that you have burnt a tracer on the circuit board and it has toached a live power line. I doubt you have burnt a relay as the relays that control the HVAC also control a large number of other devices...

From JL Audio's site; With e-commerce expanding like wildfire, we get many requests asking if JL AUDIO products are available for purchase via the Internet. The short answer is yes, but these Internet retailers are not authorized, endorsed or guaranteed by JL AUDIO. As a company, we put a...

Burr Brown 24bit DAC vs. 16bit DAC

I honestly don't think you would be able the really hear the sound difference if it was just the D/A convertors in a car. Maybe stopped with the engine off in a quite area ut once you turn on the engine and are driving, no. There real difference you will be able to here is the 2V to 6.5V...

    July 4th Fishing Tickets!

I've got to agree with the others, just pay the fine you screwed up. I've had a license when I was 14, don't have it now but only because I don't have time anymore, spear fishing not pole fishing. You have to have a pet license, driver's license pretty much a license for everything except...

what is the point of the fcc?

Let me preface this with the swtatement that I don't agree with the way the FCC controls things, but lets look at the opposite side of the coin. There wouldn't be any need for them to patrol what is said if disc jockey's would be able to control themselves. They know what is allowable and not...

    Another Optima Battery Question ...

Basicallya blue top is exactly that a blue top, they can be either starting or deep cycle. The marine speicfication come from the fact that it has marine style battery terminals, basically a threaded terminal with a wing nut in addition to the normal style battery terminal. Both are on top so...

    Cost of Living in CA

Culver City can be a good area and there are great areas right around it but expect to be paying arounf $1800-2500 for a similar place to what you have now. If you don't mind a 45min - 1hr30min comute then you can rind stuff in the $1300-2000 range further out. Other stuff to factor in is that...

Ground loop? Alternator whine! Southern Cali help!?

I definitely would move the x-overs away from your power distribution, it's just too close for comfort. Also a great way to test if the noise is at the amp level or before is to use a set of shorting plugs. Basically a cheap RCA that has one end cut off and the positive and negative connected...
