What have you done to your CX-5 today?

It didn't take long, ~45 minutes. I have got it from Rockauto. Since it failed so early(65k) I didn't want to get the factory again.

What did you pay for your CX-5?

Reliability wise I'm worried. For me, looks and how it drives is number 1 & 2, then the rest, but still, I don't want to buy a car, that has a lot of issues.

Chris, why do you have that "Banned" under your name? You were a bad boy?

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

I have just replaced the lower rear and it went easy. 2wd though. Man, my car shakes like crazy between 60-80. Even the gas pedal vibrates many times. This motor mount was so soft, that I could move the center metal bushing with my fingers. Did you have any issues with the transmission mount? I...

What did you pay for your CX-5?

Thanks for that. An Italian car, is better than a Honda/Acura? That sounds weird.

What did you pay for your CX-5?

To tell you the truth, the only SUV that I like, is the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, but they have supply issues, not much left at the dealerships to choose from, and also it is an Italian car(quality is ?). Storage is less than in my Mazda as well. I'm not a fan of the current CX5 design. The RDX...

zroger73, the RDX is that bad? I'm considering the new 2020.

    2017~2025 CX-5 H&R or Eibach lowering springs?

That is weird, though I have a 14' model, I'm lowered 3-1/4" and I don't have this issue. I have just installed Koni Yellows.

    Koni Yellow adjustment and settings

Replaced the torque arm, helped a bit, but there is still a vibration. I could move the center metal bushing, on the big bushing side, with my fingers. Rubber it was to soft. Now I'm starting to think, that maybe the control arm bushings could be soft as well?

    Brake pads $900?

I have picked up a set of brake discs and pads, for all four corners, for ~$179(w/tax) from the bay and installed it myself, done. I don't recommend slotted discs though. That dealership, is trying to make some money and many will fell for it. I have just replaced all my struts/shocks, and I...

Anyone consider a used Luxury SUV for the price of a new CX-5?

I have also started to look into the Stelvio, but new. I don't hear anything bad about the Alfa. I fell in love, with that red interior. How many issues I had with my CX5, I don't consider it a reliable car. Same time period with my previous VW Rabbit(6-1/2 years), did not have any issues with...

    KYB excel-g vs Bilstein B4

I have just installed those Konis(yellow), from Tirerack. Though my stock ones were still OK on CS springs at 65k. I was trying to get rid of some vibration, and it turned out to be something else. Oh well, no biggy. Most likely, they did not have to much life left at that mileage anyway.

    2017~2025 CX-5 H&R or Eibach lowering springs?

Do you have the factory sway bar? I have the CS sway and springs. After I have replaced my shocks/struts with Koni Yellows I had a knock too, when I was driving over some street gutter, or driving up on my driveway. It turned out to be, a loose nut at the sway bar endlink. It wasn't loose loose...

    Koni Yellow adjustment and settings

Rear clunk, was a slightly loose rear sway bar end link nut. Front vibration, it seems to be caused, by the rear/middle motor mount(torque arm). I will confirm this after I replace it. It has way to much movement.

    Koni Yellow adjustment and settings

This morning, I have noticed something that puzzles me. As I was pushing the gas pedal, going a bit faster(~75), the car had a continuous shaking. When I let it go, the shaking stopped. Could it be drive axle?

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

You would assume that, if at one end the holes align, at the other end would to, no?

    Koni Yellow adjustment and settings

OK, all is done, but something is still wrong. When I turn hard, left or right, I hear some clonking sound in the back, also when I go up on my driveway. I have removed the left rear wheel, double checked my work, but I did not find anything wrong. When I was trying to tighten the bolts, the...

Thoughts on Megan Springs vs CorkSport Springs?

If you are in LA, you could test drive my car with CS springs. They are harsh/bouncy. Now I'm in process of installing Koni Yellows. I have to see if they made any difference. They are how they are, but I still like them. Hopefully with these Konis, I have some adjustability and I will manage to...

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

Yes, I have CS springs. I have replaced all four Konis this weekend, but I had a problem at the end, at the rear driver side. When I was screwing in the bottom knuckle bolt(nut is captive) it wasn't raised the suspension properly(did not pay attention) and the bolt went in a bit crooked. It...
