I thought this discussion was about the current CD being used in Mazda's, not what GM was using back in the early 2000's. As has been said, Mazda is one of the most reliable brands out there. If CD was as big an issue as some seem to believe, that wouldn't be the case.

Where was this stated? Most people would be smart enough to plug their phone into a charger if it was getting low on battery. Going wireless AA does not mean deleting the USB ports.

If I were you, I would take the battery out of that fob and inspect and clean the contacts. Also, look at the battery for any signs of debris. Not much more you can do if the battery is known to be good.

If you're asking if the replacement battery is good and you have no other way to test, just try swapping them between the 2 fob's. That should answer your question pretty quickly.
