Well it's done. Mia's in the Boat House for the winter. Up on jack stands and I pulled the wheels off to store indoors. Need to pull the battery and put a cover on in the next few days.

I drove mine for the 1st 3 winters, was fantastic in the snow.

So the last AutoX was a bust. Raining hard and part of the lot doesn't drain well and flooded a third of the lot. Then the lightning started so it was cancelled. Oh well. I had a great fall weather wise and drove the car to work most days in the sun and warmth. So Mia will go into storage next...

Lapping went smoothly with no issues. Car seems to corner flatter and the shifting is more direct and tight. Last autox is this Saturday for it's final test before being out to bed for winter. Where did the summer go.

Nice Jeff. Yes I did. All the garages couldn't do it until Oct which would be too late for my last lapping day and autox. Soooo. Looked the procedure up on Miata.net and found that it wasn't that bad. So I tackled the job today and got the new mounts in in about 3 hours. Wasn't a hard job just...

Finally have the new motor mounts in hand. Will make an appt with my garage this week to get them installed.

Today Rear brake pads and rotors Tire rotation and oil and filter change

Finally got it in and done. Reused the old links in the front as they didn't seem to have any slop in them. Car feels better in the corners but won't be able to tell till I get the car back on the track in a few weeks.

LOL you guys kill me. My only engine bling is the dirt.

So upgrading the sways on the miata while I wait for my daughter to bring the new motor mounts. Rears were easy since I had replaced the stock end links with some racing beat ones 8 years ago. Moved to the front and discovered that they were the originals, took me about 30 mins to get one side...

So after slowly realizing that the 3 is not the miata, took 2 runs that I DNFed, I ended up winning my class by almost 3 secs. Still need a lot of work to drive the car harder but smoother. On other news the sway bars have shipped and will be here this week. The new motor mounts and bushing...

So after doing lapping at Calabogie last Saturday nite I have sidelined Mia for any racing and lapping for now. I believe the motor mounts are toast. I've ordered some competition mounts and new bushings for the strut engine support. She's ok to drive normally but till they get done that's it...

The CSF rad is great, haven't had the temps go over 185 on the track. The electric cooling fan is another issue
