New CX-9 from dealer, front bumper plastic cowl repainted?

Mine has the same line. It’s mostly smooth but towards the edges after the ”body crease” it stands out a bit more. Probably variations with how the pieces are painted from car to car. I wouldn’t stress about. Enjoy the new ride!

What neat features have you discovered?

Here’s another one .... I just figured out there’s a mute button on the steering wheel. 🙃 Press the volume button in the center. On closer inspection, I realized what I thought was just a pictograph for ‘sound’, had a small slash through.

    2021 Vs. 2019-2020 CX-9

Same.... I was asked to put down a $500 refundable deposit. If for any reason I didn’t like the car due to defects or financing fell through, I would get the money back. The money will be applied towards the purchase price if everything is to your liking.

    Decent LED Reverse Lights Swap

This was a lot of bang for the buck. Only $20 at Advance Auto. I’ve seen other reverse lights listed for $40 or more. Super bright, LED replacement bulbs for the back up lights. Improves visibility. Looks much better and more upscale from outside of the car. It literally only took about five...

    2021 Vs. 2019-2020 CX-9

This. Like I mentioned in my previous post, contact 4 or 5 dealers by email and haggle prices before you even walk into the show room. This is being a smart consumer, doing your research, and finding the best offer. Go to their local websites and find an Internet sales manager or go to...

    2021 Vs. 2019-2020 CX-9

I agree. If it bothers you, don’t do it. Mine was a dealer trade and had 160 miles on it but it was pristine. The protective wraps were still on the screen and trim pieces around the cabin. I was good with it. The little things you described would have bothered me too. This is a big...

What neat features have you discovered?

I know Honda did the same thing. Maybe they’re thinking with smart entry and people keeping fobs in their pockets / purses, the feature isn’t being used much. Seems silly. All the hardware is there. Why not just leave it?

What neat features have you discovered?

My 2009 Mazda 6 had this feature. Loved it. In the hot South, being able to drop the windows as you approached really helped cool the interior quickly.

What neat features have you discovered?

Whether they might be undocumented or they didn’t jump out at you in the owner‘s manual, I’m curious what everyone’s favorite little features are. For me: There’s a third request switch to lock the doors above the license plate. Rather than stand by the driver’s door until everyone is out so...

    Auto Sensing Wiper Calibration?

Update and resolution: Even though the windshield looked clean, I went ahead and ran some clay bar over it. Maybe it was bug guts or some clear sap around the sensor area that I didn’t notice before, but that did the trick. The wipers are responding much better. The wipers will swipe at...

    2021 Vs. 2019-2020 CX-9

A few months ago I was debating between a 2020 model versus the 2021 model. I opted for the 2021 for the upgrades everyone mentioned. The updated entertainment system is much better than the old one, in particular it’s much quicker in response to inputs better than the old system which I had in...

    Auto Sensing Wiper Calibration?

What does everyone think of the auto sensing wipers? Do they seem to work ok for you as expected? In my 2018 6, they worked great. I could dial in the sensitivity I wanted on the wiper stalk and they would swipe as expected. On my 2021 CX-9 GT, they don't work as well. The wipers tend to...

2019 CX-9 bucks when in gear with foot on the brake

Just throwing this out there, what kind of gas is being used? Does the bucking problem occur over multiple gas tanks? Is it happening regularly or only under certain conditions… Cold temps, hot, only after a cold start?

    CX-9 vs Competitors

Not my words. That's what reviewers that have driven dozens if not hundreds of vehicles have used as a descriptive comparison. I've personally driven VWs, an Audi, a Focus, and a Porsche with a DSG and yes they're literally lightning quick. We're talking tenths of a second, well maybe a...

For Sale Mazda6 OEM Rubber Mats and Carpeted Trunk Mat (2016-2021)

I'd rather not separate them. FYI... Shipping to the West Coast is going to run around $40-$50. The package is long and awkward and weighs about 8 pounds. Shipping the front only doesn't change the shipping much.

@RuskiiGuy The floor mats are available but not the trunk mat.

    CX-9 vs Competitors

Agree with the transmission comments. Mazda’s 6 speed is a solid unit. Reliable. Performs well and is always in the “right gear”. It’s programmed to keep the torque converter locked up most of the time (unlike other transmission) which makes it more efficient and it shifts quickly. I...

    CX-9 vs Competitors

Congrats! I’m sure you’ll enjoy it for many years. Did the dealer help you set up your complimentary subscription to Mazda Connected Services? From what I’ve heard, it’s been hit or miss.
