yep. My "guy" a guess didnt balance the motor after he installed the new bearings and new piston rings. (not sure if it was required or not). All i am hoping is that the pauter rod didnt get ****** - because i already bought a running FS motor which i am going to clean up and transfer parts...

update again: went to look at everything and it seems as if the pistons looked fine (no detonation or anything), but im gonna have my guy do them anyways. I think the rings might be bad, but who knows. (well i will tomorrow). Ok, so the headgasket blew on number 4. Not like it blew on me...

update: head was pulled off, gasket around #4 was toast. Also, my engine mechanic said the compression was like 155 all across except like 145 for #4. Moreoverm he said there was too much play for comfort on all the pistons, and so i am going to put new pistons in AGAIN with new rings. Im...

i remember Beau and Nick going at it. I believe the consensus was 90 ft lbs for the studs and then 90-95 for the nuts. Maxx was correct. That is what im going to have my guy do -- make sure you use the moly lube. -Bryan

no -- I was running 90-93% duty cycle on my wrx 440s on 17 psi on a gt25/40 turbo. If you have 565's on the vf-22 that should be plenty -- can you see your duty cycle numbers? I was able to tell because I ran a haltech back in da day

yeah unfortunately you are about out of injector. High duty cycles arent good for injectors. If I were you I would go ahead and acquire some 550s if I was able to. Just something to think about. -Bryan
