Is it safe to assume from what we know so far that the CX-3 will have less space than a Mazda 3 Hatchback? Or at the very most, the same amount of space?

It seems like most places don't routinely put the clear bra on the bumper. Is that because the bumper is made out of plastic, and therefore not going to be impacted by rock chips the same way the metal hood might be? Does it make sense to get the bumper done?
