No coasting in 2017 AWD GT?

Sorry I came about a bit short. My 1 year old is going hard and early at the terrible two's stage... What I meant to say is that I don't think there is any car that will maintain speed the instant you let off gas. Sure my manual car was better when I threw it into neutral but you could...

    Changing wheel/tyre size affecs i-Activesense

Has anyone noticed that it works better on one side than the other? Mine will do a much better job keeping me in the lane over the right side than the left. On the right it will try to keep me in the lane BEFORE the departure warning. On the left it happens almost simultaneously.

No coasting in 2017 AWD GT?

Your Prius is the weird one or you are driving down hill. Try that on a bike or skateboard or rollerskates. The moment you stop adding power, unless you are going down hill, you will slow down. Did you take any sort of physics? Only asking because I recall knowing why this happens all the...

2017 Mazda CX-5 Moose And Slalom Test

Summary: Very balanced car, better than Peugot 5008. Lifts inside rear wheel and it will feel like a small delay for the car to settle. Looses little speed because of stability control and executing the maneuver is very simple because there is no strange movements of the car. Couldn't do...

    Cargo Illumination (re - posting)

Very nice! I think the JDM CX-5 actually has more lights in the trunk than the US one. Don't know why Mazda USA thought that we could certainly use less lights...

Initial Sales Figures for 2nd-Gen 2017 Mazda CX-5

Rouges sell because they are cheap. My co-worker got an FWD SV for about $6000 off MSRP (discount and rebate)! I just looked up true car estimates and Rouge and RAV 4 are at least 12% off MSRP (Rouge is actually almost 18% off!). CR-V and CX-5 hover about 7% off.

    2017~2025 Tire Pressure Sensor for 2017 CX-5 - $91.74 EACH!

This was a 2006 Mazda3 with no pressure sensor at all. The first car I had with the sensors was the RDX and it's nice that it tells you the actual reading. If it's a little low I know right away and just fill up. I agree that if the CX-5 already has sensors capable of reading the actual...

    2017~2025 Tire Pressure Sensor for 2017 CX-5 - $91.74 EACH!

I blew a rear tire in my Mazda3 on the highway and the car really didn't drive much differently up to the moment it blew. I had tires with stiffer sidewalls and driving straight on the highway I couldn't tell there was a "soft" tire. TPMS would have been nice. I can feel it better on front...

    Auto Wipers/Auto Lights

The comment I was replying to is that it uses more energy turning them off an on. I seriously doubt that's the case. Sure having lights on uses energy, but turning them off and on every so often would not use MORE energy than just leaving them on. I don't think there is a voltage/current...

    Auto Wipers/Auto Lights

Why would LED headlights use more energy by turning them on and off? I mean I would think it's annoying as hell, but I doubt they waste more energy. They don't have a ballast like HID's.

    Fuel Brands

You think those are fun, try a 350whp 2800lb twin turbo FD.

    Auto Wipers/Auto Lights

Yeah I noticed too that the headlights turn off on me when stopped if it's still somewhat bright and takes a while for it to turn on when moving. I have my DRL's off so it's pretty noticeable.

Questions after test driving 2017 CX-5 and CRV

I have a dark grey car and black interior and car cools down about as fast as my much smaller white Mazda3. In contrast it takes longer to cool down the white RDX with light interior that I have. The CX-5 A/C is fine. Dunno about heat. In fact, my 4 year old in the back sometimes complains...

Questions after test driving 2017 CX-5 and CRV

Drove both and I have a 4 year old and a rear facing about the be 2 year old. 1. CR-V is possibly a little faster on paper but feel wise it about the same. I did notice it was louder when on highway and when accelerating hard. 2. Rear leg room is about .5 to 1 inch more. I test fitted the...

For those who want their 2017 Mazda CX5 debadged

I don't think it's a poor design, I just think it's a decision they made. You could invest money in a jig for each car model that comes by the line for each line OR just design alignment holes (I personally think dimples would have worked fine) and just make the logo line up within those...

Anywhere online to find parts book for 2017?

I can't seem to find the 2017 equivalent of a complete parts book. For example if I wanted to get the passenger rear wheel well trim for the CX-5. Where would i get the part number from online? I know other models have an interactive book where you can click and zoom in on pages showing...
