Welcome to the forums. I take it a front license plate is not mandatory there (unlike here in WA). I would have liked to put an ornamental plate that says 'Protege5' or the Mazda flying M. That's an idea if it appeals to you.

Ditto. I had that light once and the fluid level in the reservoir was halfway between Min and Max, but filling it up took care of the light. No idea about the uneven brake wear.

You could put the roof rack back on until you get the fillers. I have almost the same concern as you. I saw some superficial rust around the screw holes when I took the roof rack off yesterday and am wondering if I need to worry about it.
