    Door Edge Guards?

Agree. I should take another picture from farther away but it looks pretty clean. And black should go well w/ any color. Durability is the only question.

    Door Edge Guards?

Well I installed the edge guard today. It definitely had a thin bead of adhesive in there, so we'll see if i experience the same problem as chiurw after a while. Here are some pics (not best quality - from my cell phone).

    Door Edge Guards?

I do remember seeing something on the package that it had glue in there. Did you try goo-gone to remove the residue?

    Door Edge Guards?

To follow up on this: I was at Kmart the other day (don't ask) and found door edge guards (black rubber) for like $3 made by a company called "Bell". Haven't had a chance to install them yet but they seem pretty decent quality, especially at that price. Will share some pics once installed.

    Question bout seat belt warning

if all else fails a simple solution is to buy an extra seat belt buckle from somewhere (junkyard?) that fits our car and just pop it in when your dog is with you. also, does the chime keep going forever, or does it stop after a minute or two?

Hardwired valentine 1 - instructions to remove map light assembly

I wonder if the 2009 CX-9 is different? The wiring for the rear view mirror was difficult to access so I didn't try those wires, just those that went into the map light/sunroof console. Also, my rear view mirror doesn't have a compass...should it?

DIY: Valentine 1 hardwire via fuse box

Hey guys, Quick DIY for those of you looking to hardwire a V1 via the fuse box. You can use the same methodology for other devices as well (GPS, headrest DVD players), obviously making the necessary fuse adjustments based on the device's power requirements. Goal: Tap an existing power source...

Hardwired valentine 1 - instructions to remove map light assembly

finally got around to hardwiring my v1 today. took longer than expected since the overhead map light console had no wires that had 12v in the ON/ACC positions but 0v when OFF. One of the bundles (for the sunroof) had separate 8v and 4v powered wires that had no power when OFF but no 12v)...

    Oil Change

How much does the dealership typically charge for an oil change? Self-change looks like it would be about $45-50 in parts for oil (6 qts) + filter. Assuming you trust your dealership putting in the right oil and doing the change properly (a big "IF" for some people), is it worth doing it...

    Door Edge Guards?

I've been looking for the same thing after taking delivery last week and seeing how big the doors are. The other suggestions people are giving may make sense for the OTHER car, but for the CX-9 you need an edge protector. I can't find anything online for a protector specifically made for the...

Hardwired valentine 1 - instructions to remove map light assembly

Stealth, don't feed the troll! Use my tactic (see post #3) - ignore and move on. Anyways, thanks for your help. I unscrewed the two screws, which loosened the assembly, and then pulled it down by working the headliner over the clips in the picture with a flat head screwdriver. Even with...
