That is the thing with VW, the engines are so detuned from the factory it is "easy" to get a ton more power out of them. With the MS3, the engine is pretty highly tuned from the factory and makes a bunch more power as is from the dealership. On a personal note, I think I am going to schedule...

The GTI is my first VW after only owning Japanese vehicles all my life (not counting the crap-tastic Ford Mustang I had as my first car......). Oh, and I have the regular manual 6-speed - no DSG for me.

Hi. I've been thinking about the MS3 for a long time now, almost bought once or twice. I currently drive an 08 VW GTI and I just find the car a little boring, and always wanting more performance. I don't want to mod the car as I have had horrible experiences with modified cars and dealerships...

They are not a band-aid. They are proven technology that works and that are currently employed by numerous high-end sports/performance cars.

Best things out there, but they can be darn hard to find in certain sizes. I've always had to order mine online..........

Definately right on that one. On one hand you have quality, reliability, modern technology, and style.........and on the other hand you have the big old poorly designed/made American cars........that the Mazda probably outperforms in several catagories........Have a nice day. :)

You might want to check out/test drive the 09 Subaru WRX and VW GTI as other options, just for reference points.
