Thanx for your reply. Yes, my Protege was built on 1994, because it says in the documents that this car was sold to the first owner already back in 1994. And yes i am in the US. Florida, to be more exact.

I would do that if only i had that OBD2 connector underneath the driver's side dashboard/steering wheel. I could see NO connector like that under there.

As i already said in my opening post, i had the impression that this paper clip method only applied to 1 gen. - 1994 Protege's. Whether it also applied to 1995 Proteges was what i wanted to know. I read the manual and it says that this method only applies to Proteges up to 1994.
