I live in US but there are many Canadians here who can answer this question.

Like @Buzzman12 said it few posts earlier, like other people said it over and over again, the reason Mazda recommends 0W20 in United States is CAFE requirements. Full stop.

The hard wire connection is always better than wireless. If you don't mind plugging in your phone every time you drive your car, that's the way to go.

Could it be the anti-theft system the culprit?

I chose “Fixed” and set to 7.500 miles.
