Preventive maintenance!

Right. Thing is I've never had to use a 14 mm socket for anything so when I decided to change the spark plugs myself I did some preparation, and everybody was talking about the "spark plug socket", not about the 14 mm socket. I did not pay attention too much, just took it as such.

My personal choice is Michelin Cross Climate. From my experience I think they are really good in rainy conditions. A bit noisy after a while but safety first.

Spark plugs are consumables, like oil filter, air filters, brake pads, tires alternator belt, water pump belt etc etc. You should replace them after a certain number of cycles/hours/miles. In our case this is a screenshot from my 2020 cx-5 owner's manual:

I have a torque wrench. I just choose not to use it because I don't think it's necessary. I've replaced the spark plugs several times on my current car and no issues.

Time for spark plugs replacement! ASAP!
