    JW's latest autocross video

Yeah, i definitely have to make it down one of these days. I hear there's a lot of good type R guys down there. I love good competition. I would have said the same thing about the tires, but i haven't autoxed since FREAKING MAY cause of work and being out of town and stuff, so i figured i can...

    JW's latest autocross video

Yeah, right. 4 wheels down > 3 If you want, i can come to Atl. and show you how to go fast with 4 wheels on the ground! :p --come to think of it, i may come to atl. anyway. Our courses kind of suck, definitely nothing like that one in the vid....it looked like a blast!

    best "compromise" alignment ideas?

I've read through that thread plenty of times---i even contributed several posts. According to your post-- the best way to do it is run 0 toe all around and as much negative camber as you can. That's what i've been saying.......just want someone to verify it for me.

    best "compromise" alignment ideas?

sooo.....i gather all i can do is take it to the alignment shop and tell them to put as much negative camber all around as they can with 0 toe? or is it not even worth it?

    best "compromise" alignment ideas?

well my suspension is (obviously) completely stock. So you guys are saying that if i use the "crash bolt" on the front swaybar, i will be able to maximize negative camber? (about -1 or just more than that) And that i should leave it at 0 toe (like i thought originally) and this won't screw up...

    best "compromise" alignment ideas?

suspension is strut. Camber plates and such are not allowed in stock class.

    best "compromise" alignment ideas?

So i've heard a good alignment makes quite a difference on the autox course. I haven't really bother with any of that and for the last several years have been working strictly on improving my driving. Once i got my extra set of rims and hoosier A6s, i gave myself a few events to get used to...

Auto-x Newbie - hope you guys can help :o)

^^^ +1 I haven't had a problem with ABS in the MSP. Stick with some street tires to learn on----you're gonna be pissed if you spend tons of money on R-comps and cord them after a few events cause you overdrove them. Read the "read this before you buy race tires" sticky. Lots of good info...

24-hr autox Charlotte, NC Sept 1-2

i'm afraid i don't have the budget for that. I have some Toyo T1-Rs on my OEM rims, and the A6s are on my race rims. No way i'd buy ANOTHER set of rims with crap tires just for this event----and i'm not running the toyos either....my goal is to not have to replace them before i sell the car in...

24-hr autox Charlotte, NC Sept 1-2

lol. this will be my first 24 hour event. (it's my 1st season with this region). I got some "lightly used" hoosier A6s a few months back and i am keen on making them last as long as i possibly can. the catch at this event is you only get about 5-6 official runs, but as many practice runs as...

Autocross in-car video from May 12

Nice vid. You are a very smooth driver. Looks like an AWESOME course!! Much better than the 35 second barely-second-gear crap i had to deal with last weekend.....

    MSP in DS

I myself did that very thing in ProDS last weekend. The ITR was fully prepped and my MSP is bone stock (with heavier-than-oem wheels!!) (hey--i'm on a budget here, lol). got him by about 2 tenths. I am really confident in the MSP the more i drive it (it was only my second ever event on...

Autox #2 on the hoosiers--problems and questions (and MSPvsITR oh snap!)

Hey guys i just ran my second event with the Hoosiers on Sunday. There was really no competition for me in open Dstock (only 2 entrants) so i decided to run ProDS instead. (plus there's a well setup and well driven ITR that runs ProDS as well and i wanted to see how i stacked up.) Ended up...

    Mazdaspeed3 AutoX

Good write-up  Your comments on the steering were right on target with my expectations---when i test drove one a few months back it felt very quick but the steering was no where near as responsive as on my MSP. I think it will be interesting to see what the MS3 can do in the next few...

That would be awesome. There was a red one that came to an event one time back in the fall, but he was a novice so i really couldn't tell anything.
