Driving my '17 CX-5 around today

Yes, my A4 stayed in the garage while I drove the CX-5. I loved the CX-5.

    2017 CX5 lighting control issue

Unfortunately your headlights will always be on with your DRLs, but at a lower frequency. The headlights never go off in Automatic. Hope that helps.

Driving my '17 CX-5 around today

Combo of city/highway miles. 22.5mpg. So quiet unless you floor it, then you hear the 2.5 roar. Plenty of pick-up in almost every range. Great city car, but will still quickly get up to speed on a freeway onramp. Just gorgeous inside with the stitching and aluminum. Great steering with...

Help Me Decide: CX-5 vs. CR-V

Agreed. I leased a '16 Accord for my cousin, and while it is a good-looking car and nice to drive around if you really stomp on it the CVT just roars and not much else. One of the many reasons I chose to forego the CR-V.

    2017 CX-5 Gas usage

My average MPG is 22.5, and that is mostly city. I also use Sport when taking off from a dead stop, then quickly move to Drive. Also, the car still has less than 500 miles on it. I'm happy.

Help Me Decide: CX-5 vs. CR-V

Comparing the front and rear pics of the CR-V vs. the CX-5 tells the story. The CR-V looks like a toy with the overwrought styling. The CX-5 looks sophisticated and like something an adult would drive.

Gen 2.0 CX-5 In the real world. Lets discuss...

We had a '13 Infiniti G37 Convertible and the lease was ending. We needed more utility, and one of our favorite cars had been our FX35. I thought about another Infiniti for about a minute, but the QX70 interior is so outdated and due for a refresh, even though it is a hoot to drive IMO it is...

    Value of 19" wheels

Wow, tough forum, Shaendra. I personally think the 17" wheels look great, but I wouldn't want to trade the more expensive rims for the lesser ones due to resale or lease-end value. And I personally don't find the ride with the 19" wheels harsh at all. The rubber on the tires is still pretty...

Mazda needs to do far better marketing on the CX-9

No, most would never cross-shop a CX-9 against an LX460, but we did cross-shop the CX-5 against the Lexus NX, Audi Q5 and Acura RDX. The RDX was a non-starter due to cheaper feeling interior, we didn't like the looks of the NX and the Q5 was too similar to my A4. I felt the CX-5 stacked up...

    HUD: Is it worth it?

I never had HUD until I bought my '13 GS350 that had it. Then I couldn't live without it. My A4 doesn't have it but it has a digital display in the middle of the speedo. I love being able to just glance at it and see what speed I'm going because, honestly, I always drive over the speed limit...

    US Diesel's big splash introduction

Agree with you on this. I would consider a CX-5 Diesel with Signature option (who knows if they will offer this?) as our next car.

    My new Sonic Silver CX-5

You will be very satisfied. Glad to hear you finally got to test drive! Good luck with the sale of your 6. BTW, I've been to Sydney, Melbourne and (believe it or not) Canberra on business. I love Australia!
