    2014 Mazda5??

I would love to see a Skyactiv in a M5. I would probably trade in my 2010 for Skyactiv. With all I've read in this thread I wonder why Mazda, in my area, never runs M5 ads. We talk about low sales, but I don't think Mazda does enough to promote the product. In the USA I think the M5 just...

HELP! Rear a/c vent not blowing air!!!!

Well success today. Moved the motor two more times and than reconnected it to the system. The door moved properly, so I'm back to normal. Looks like I'll have to remember to exercise the door on a regular schedule. Thanks again SuperJETT for all the info. Marty

HELP! Rear a/c vent not blowing air!!!!

OK original topic. After I got the motor going I never thought to try the normal system again. Tomrrow I'll try the system again incase the motor just needed a little exercise, since it has not moved since sometime last summer, or earlier.

HELP! Rear a/c vent not blowing air!!!!

Not sure why, but my understanding is the fan driven rear vent is for cool only. Heat comes via ducts under the seats. Perhaps that's not what you are asking.

HELP! Rear a/c vent not blowing air!!!!

Don't know if it matters in your measuring, but the 12 volts will swap between the two pins based on the direction command. You may have been on the opposite pin. The voltage will only appear for about 5 seconds. Although I have voltage I suspect the drive circuit can't supply enough current...

HELP! Rear a/c vent not blowing air!!!!

Thank you SuperJETT. I have the same problem on my 2010. Using a meter I could see the 12 volts for about 5 sec, but the motor did not move. I then tried 12 volts to the motor and the door opened. Great! My final set up includes rigging two wires on the motor connector. With a Radio Shack...

    Windshield ding

Has anyone her tried the windshield ding repair kits? I have a small hit with a slight crack, about 1/8 inch. Do they really work? Any favorite brands? I've looked around the web and saw a couple of videos. I'm willing to try a repair, but only if it will last. Comments please. Thanks

    Transmission flushing question and more!

Does anyone know why the 5 needs a tranny flush. Is it more than a Chevy, Ford, toyota, etc..? My first 5, and I never heard of frequent tranny flushes needed in my other vehicles. Is it design? I just don't hear about this in other cars.

    Dislikes about your MAZDA 5

I understand how to get the temp to change, but with the entire system off the temp control will only go 2 degrees. I want the temp control always to work without turning on anything. Old fashioned but I liked it. The vent air temp with no fan could always be adjusted.

    Dislikes about your MAZDA 5

2010 Sport. I want the temp control to always work, not just when the heat/cool system is on. I want to control the vent air temperature, anytime. Seats are not comfortable. Too short. Also not tilted enough.

Post the highest AMB temperature displayed on your Mazda5 (F or C)

My AMB temp reads so slow it's still working on last April.

    Strange A/C Fan Problem

I'll have to say a blockage is possible as flcruising suggesting. Depends where you live. Today I turned on my fan and a ton of crap from my neighbor's maple tree flowed out the floor vents on to my feet. i fear that there is more in the ducts. Anyway, do you park under a tree that is going...

    Outside temperature, 2010 Sport

My outside temperature reading is very sluggish. It can go for an hour or two with no change, when I know the temperature has gone up or down. The electronic thermometors I have experience with respond very quickly. Can anyone out there tell me how responsive their ambient temperature readings...

    temp and fuel gauge calibration

I have always felt that the ambient temperature readings in my 2010 Sport are not accurate. I go through long periods of no change, even though I know there is a 5 or more degree change since I got in the car. Don't know if the sensor is bad, or the electronics fail to update. Do I want to have...
