Toneb210, since you were up there in the clouds can you tell me if the shark fin antenna is bolted down? I think the not so good FM antenna is in the fin and I'm looking for ways to improve it. Marty

I think a limiting factor is the max current a USB cable can carry. The wire gauge is not very high in these cables. Not sure if they are rated for 2 amps.

I'm just wondering why more amps are needed in the USB source.

Still haven't done the recall on my 2015. Trying to find the part number for the plastic bolt now used, which I would install. No luck so far. Anyway my filler pipe wiggles a bit but I have never been concerned.

If I understand correctly how the recall is done, I am amazed how there could be any release of gasoline or fumes.

Mike, have to disagree here. Someone at Mazda said to put in the bolt. Then a recall, and the fix is to remove the bolt. Now new CX-5's have the rubber pad and plastic bolt. Assembly reason, no way. The pipe needs support. A whole bunch of us will be driving around with a pipe and no support...

Why am I not getting this? For the production on or after February 1, 2016, a rubber pad will be placed between the body member and the bracket and a plastic fastener will be used for attaching the bolt.

Have to agree with you and heritage07. Not really a good fix. This may become a DIY for me. Not degreed, but enough common sense.

I agree that a solid connection is not necessary. What I was responding to was your comment, "What the hell are you talking about here? " I thought perhaps you did not believe a wobble was possible and the Mazda was designed to be rigid.

The filler pipe in my 2015 is not rigid. About 1/4 inch of wobble. This is before the recall fix.

I have complained about this before. The FM antenna in my 2015 is terrible. I think the radio is fine. Mazda forgot how important an antenna is to reception. For them it's all about the look. Did he say what window? I heard the rear.

I have a 2015 Mazda 5 and also have not received a notice. I believe they will get to me in due time. If you are concerned, I think you should contact your dealer and ask for a prompt repair.

Have to agree with you on this one. Awhile back I pulled the choke knob and hoped for a start. Then auto choke, and hoped for a start. Now they start. Hell with heat, I'm ready to roll.
