Straight 6 skyactiv-x engine in development

Don't forget CD. That's working out real well.

Electronic sound after turning the engine off

My 2018 does same thing and I assumed it was fuel pump.

    2017~2025 17 or 18. Or even 19

I don't like the transmission shifts in my '18. My '15 was much smoother. Maybe due to CD, which we owners are testing for Mazda. I do not recommend the '18.

Older thread but a question. If I disconnect the battery for a while will I be back to day 1?

    2018 CX-5 Low Speed Transmission Hesitation/Jerk/Lurch

Can you explain the tach jump? My 2018 RPM drops quite a bit during some shifts. Is that what you call slippage? Overall I am not happy with transmission compared to the 2015 I had.

    2018 CX-5 Low Speed Transmission Hesitation/Jerk/Lurch

It may be in my head but I think things improve slightly in my 2018 if I turn off TCS. If some of you could try this I would appreciate it.

Very faint high pitched "mosquito" sound

Did anyone cross-shop CX-5 with the new Tiguan?

I read today that CR dropped the Tiguan from it's recommended list. https://www.consumerreports.org/car-reliability-owner-satisfaction/cars-lose-cr-recommendation-over-reliability-issues/

    2018 CX-5 Low Speed Transmission Hesitation/Jerk/Lurch

If I had to sum up my 2018 CX-5 transmission I would say, compared to the 2015 it replaced, I am much more aware of the shifting. This includes both accelerating and decelerating. The 2015 was smoother.

    2018 CX-5 Low Speed Transmission Hesitation/Jerk/Lurch

My 2018 does same thing. Dealer says all is well. Not to my liking at all. I'm getting ready to try again with my dealer but now seeing this it's a let down that it may be normal.

2018 Cx5 GT lack of power very weird issue!

Interesting. I sometimes get the feeling my 2018 transmission is slipping. Had it in once for what I think is unsmooth shifting. All OK. Please post if you hear anything. Drive is not like my 2015 was.

    Cylinder Deactvation

I wish Mazda would offer the choice of a software change that would eliminate CD. As a 2018 owner I feel I am testing this for them, and I'd rather not.

    4 more things I hate about the 2018 cx5

I think the transmission could be smoother, especially on downshifting.

2018 Mazda CX-5 jerky at low speeds

I have complained about this and took my 2018 in for a check. It was test driven and checked out. Told all is normal. I think the down shifting on this CX-5 is a poor design, if this is truly normal. At least my complaint is on record. My 2015 CX was much smoother.

    Key fob failing?

If the battery tester doesn't put a load on the battery during the test it really isn't very helpful. Not sure if yours does so it may not be of much help.

Can you run me a lock test? 2018 Touring

Thank you. I was expecting it to be locked, same as if I tried a door. Sometimes I check to make sure if I locked up and was surprised the liftgate opened.
