Had the same problems and use the same oil. The stock battery in the cold sucks, its too small and only about 540 cold cranking amps. I went with an OPTIMA RED TOP (oh yeah, 740 cca) and no problems since. Today, it was -5 F in WI and my 02 P5 started right up.

4 work so well though. I just removed the stock radio, I tried nails, small screwdrivers but the 2 sets of tools work perfect. If you can, you could just buy a the sets at wal-mart and maybe.. cough, cough return them after the install, cough cough

Well I just installed a sylfex on my 02 P5 and after two days my whole radio doesn't work, no radio stations and my cd player doesn't work either. Any one ever have this problem or any fixes for my stereo or a place to buy a 02 Protege5 stereo? Thanks

Hello, I'm a noob here and was reading the great write about cleaning the EGR valve. I was wondering how you reset the pcm said in the write up.

So I'm looking for some 17 or 18 inch wheels for my p5. Does anyone have any photos of their STOCK P5 with 17 or 18 inch wheels.This topic is probably somewhere but everytime I seen a car with bigger wheels the car has a different suspension set up.
