    2010 Mazda5 100K miles: Belts? Tensioner? Idler?

One of the belts, the lower I think, is a no adjustment stretch to put on. Do you have one of the tools to put it on?

MK1 MX-5 turns over but won't run. Help!

What year was your car built? Engine size?

    Water leak

Current solution has been too live with it. After looking at having to take the door off to remove the interior panel I just have not been motivated. I can put in a new clutch, struts, and CV axles but not take off the hatch. What if wrong with me.

Thinking about swapping my CX-9 for a 4-door truck - bad idea?

I have a Ford Excursion. I can and have fit a full size couch in it. I have carried 2k lbs of concrete block in it. I tow our 8k lbs camper with it. I would still prefer an open bed truck at times. Even with a solid rear axle, trucks ride and handle better than they did in the past. Not like...

    CV Axle repair

If you can buy the whole axle then someone is making the boots. It just comes down to finding them.

    CV Axle repair

I replaced the whole axle. I used the suntrack/trackmotive brand from Rockauto. I stressed over the no ABS tone ring for nothing. The tone ring is built into the hub. Used an air impact and air chisel to get them out.

    CV Axle repair

    CV Axle repair

I replaced both sides when I did my clutch. Driver's side had a failed outer boot. I think I paid $110 total for both. If you can do it yourself it is not hard and worth the savings.

    Replacing Infotainment (Apple CarPlay)

Dealers don't have to do anything to a used car. The less they do the more they make. You can check the version in the car. Should be v70.00.21 or later.

    Replacing Infotainment (Apple CarPlay)

What year is your CX-9? The dealer should do the software update for free before the hardware install. I told mine there was an update to fix slow loading and they did it. There are ways to do it yourself.

    Replacing Infotainment (Apple CarPlay)

I called them, then placed the order on their website. Be sure to ask for instruction when you place your order. Nice people. Ordered on last Friday, arrived Monday. New Hampshire to Arkansas. The Mazda instructions neglect to tell you to plug in the cables to the control unit in the dash or...

    Replacing Infotainment (Apple CarPlay)

    Need Stiffer Rear Coils

ALWAYS FOLLOW THE OWNERS MANUAL! I think the weight limit is based on lots of factors. Driving would be a large part of that. 200 lbs or more in an emergency handling situation up high could change body roll significantly. Also, the footprint of the tent platform compared to the size of the...

    Need Stiffer Rear Coils

I just put new struts on the front of my 5. I did quick struts cause they were only a few bucks more than buying struts and strut mounts and I did not have to worry about getting them apart and back together correctly. I pulled the springs off the old struts after I was done. I will try to...

    Dashboard buttons?

I pulled some from various Mazda cars at a junk yard. I think a 626, 323, older 3, 6 and tribute may fit. You will know when you see them. Just make sure they function how you want. I think the 626 and 323 work better as far as functioning logically.
