    Protege5 Coolant loss at/near radiator

That hose definitely should have been cut at 90, someone's been at it with some hose cutters :( Squaring up the cut was the best thing to do here (y) Radiator neck should be fine, it's just discoloured from the coolant that's been escaping From memory the sleeve is for rub protection on the air...

    What’s next? My 2002 Protege5

Cambelt, tensioner and water pump are probably up next, and those pesky rear brakes :P Personally I'd drive it until it failed catastrophically and the whole car *needs* to be replaced. I love these cars as they're modern enough to keep up with traffic but still fixable by a driveway mechanic

    Protege5 Coolant loss at/near radiator

I'd say that spring clamp has lost some of it's spring, I'd pull the top hose and replace it with a hose clamp just in case, also inspect the inside of the hose and the neck of the radiator for any damage or crud that could be causing the hose to sit funny. If there's any damage to the hose...

So good! Excellent progress on what is quickly becoming one of the most well sorted pro5s around :D The livery is perfect too, here's Rod Millen's championship winning car: The group shots are my new desktop background now :)

FYI 17" MPV wheels fit very nicely :P Also, +1 for Delphi parts, have all been decent quality when ever I've used them

What have you done to your P5 today?

Laser XRI spoiler 'installed' Took a bit of modifying to fit nicely and the small center section doesn't fit :( It's currently in primer waiting for colour matched spray paint and a fine day Mazda MPV 17" wheels, they were cheap, they fit nicely and I needed 2 new tires anyways :P Scored a...

What have you done to your P5 today?

@Diamond_Dave looking great! Giving me ideas for the red car..... at the other end, latest junkyard score: 👀 Ford Laser XRI / SR2 twin spoiler set, just about fits but will need mods to properly bolt on. Should look like this: (with the little lip spoiler hiding the washer jet)

    LankyKiwi's Rally-flavored SP20

Interesting! Wonder if it is because they are more likely to come loose? Luckily no rules about it here, Car passed it's WOF with no issues or recommendations :D

    LankyKiwi's Rally-flavored SP20

All the original ball ends on the front swaybar links were shagged, the LH threaded ones were both bone dry and very loose! Got a few years out of them so not complaining :) Swapped to rose joints as I can get them cheap through work :D had to shorten the links a bit more and make some spacers...
