Having had this happen in a Grand Caravan (sippy cup) and a Pontiac G6 (rubber ball), it's in no way a Mazda5 specific situation. Yes, it's scary, but it just taught me to make sure the kids keep their cups in the cup holders and no toys on the floor. BTW: Glad nothing bad happened to you! Jeff
