    Calling on 2017 CX-5 Owners - Reliability

Just my two cents: Had my '17 over two years with no mechanical problems at all. Engine, suspension, electronics all work perfectly. My only gremlin was a creak in cold weather and the occasional rattle inside. Solved by turning up the radio. :)

    2016 CX-5 Map Update Questions

    Awesome! Thanks!

What did you pay for your CX-5?

I'm from Central NJ as well - don't feel too bad about your deal you did well. Dealers are brutal in our area and don't discount much like our VA or CA cousins.

What did you pay for your CX-5?

Only a ~5.8% dealer discount? IMO: No way - pass so hard. Even in NJ / NY (Which is pretty stingy with dealer discount) you get about ~6.8% walking in the door. With the advent of the 2020s arriving shortly (like a month or two) you can most likely get the same deal with the newer model year...

Feedback/concerns/review on Pirelli p7 all season Plus!

On my 2016.5 I have the P7 Plus for about 15k miles now. All in all, I don't have any complaints. I can't think of any problems with them in rain or snow. Road noise / ride seems to normal and life expectancy should be as advertised. I understand this isn't a ringing endorsement, but they...

Strange bumps (hives) on driver's leather seat 2019 Reserve

My 2017 had the infamous "bubble" in the center. It was a single large bubble due to lack of support in the padding thus stretching the leather. I wonder if the padding underneath is irregular (For example there are hard bits in the foam) and therefore translating to the leather. Edit: Wanted...

What is wrong with CX-5 Signature?

For the 2020's the NAV and traffic sign recognition will only be standard in the Signature trim. It is my opinion that Mazda did this to help "add value" to the Signature price tag. And yes, you can still add NAV and TSR by adding the SD card to other trims for 2020.

Strange bumps (hives) on driver's leather seat 2019 Reserve

Opps, you are right. Didn't catch it at the end. My vote is to take it to the dealer then.

Strange bumps (hives) on driver's leather seat 2019 Reserve

I wonder - does the passenger side seat have the same bumps? Or only the driver side? Have you used any kind of conditioner / cleaner on the leather?

    2017~2025 Product sucks

I've contacted Mazda USA three different ways: The first time was via old fashioned letter. I expressed my concerns and provided contact information including my phone number. A had a representative call me a couple days later to work out my situation. It is important to note that I was able to...

    2017~2025 Product sucks

I too, can relate to the noises, clicks, and rattles in my 2017. It is enough to drive oneself insane if you focus on them. If I may, a couple of tips I've learned a long the way: 1) The door locks (actuator) being noisy is actually very common among all trims and model years. It's a Mazda...

What did you pay for your CX-5?

You are correct - NJ Dealers are crazy with their prices. With that said, could you break down your deal further? Like MSRP, dealer discount, incentives, how much the accessories are, etc... OTD doesn't help give an apples to apples comparison.

    Instrument panel reflection on windshield

If you really want a kick in the pants - check out your driver's side window near the mirror. You'll see a reflection of your silver AC vent cover. (silly)

Mazda offering 0.9% financing PLUS 90 days deferred payments

Much to my chagrin, this is correct. I was hoping for the new system but not this year.

Mazda offering 0.9% financing PLUS 90 days deferred payments

Same here for my zip code. My hope is that by Jan / February the 2020s will have the .9% financing as well. Yes, most likely the 2020 Reserves and Signatures will be end of January, early February as they are being produced this month. This is going to sound frivolous but the reason I went...

Mazda offering 0.9% financing PLUS 90 days deferred payments

As soon as the 2020 Reserves come in I'll be hopping on the bandwagon.

Warming up the engine on cold starts

I have a remote start, I find I can live with out it. It occasionally turns on the front defrosters but I have to manually turn on the back defrosters. Plus letting the car idle with a remote start really doesn't warm up the interior that much.

Warming up the engine on cold starts

Only a couple of minutes for me. I go out to start the car and turn on the defrosters, then a minute or two later I drive off. After a little experimenting what I've discovered is that no matter how long you let the car idle, it will never fully warm up until you start driving it. Just take it...

    2020 due?

Ok, so lets pretend I purchase a 2020 GTR. Since it doesn't come with navigation I no longer have access to TSR. BUT I could purchase the NAV card and get both TSR and Mazda navigation, correct? Sorry to be a pain, but this might determine if I pull the trigger on a 2020 GTR vs a 2019 GTR. It...

    2020 due?

So will the TSR work without a NAV card by using the camera? Or does it require the NAV and camera to work? I'm so confused. (confused)
