    CX-5 Suspension control arm failure

I just called a local shop and they quoted $350 for both fronts (labor only) , I supply the parts about $110 each from RockAuto (p/n 1027956 and 1027955) . Is this $350 machine shop price inline and reasonable. I would do it myself but I'm too old for this and it's pretty rusted down there...

Brake Fluid Change amount for 2016 CX-5?

Hi yrwei52, would you recommend using OEM Mazda brake fluid? or it doesn;t really matter as long as it's DOT3 ? Amazon sells the MAzda OEM, but not sure if it;s worth it, and you think I'll need 4 bottles (12 fluid oz per bottle) for a drain and flush ? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BNVJYMU/

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

I installed this Megan Racing strut tower brace bar as well over the weekend and can confirm the front feels stiffer and more rigid and less body roll when going into turns above 40+mph, definitely improved handling up front, less dipping when going into turn...... super easy install... see...

CX-5 Serpentine Belt and Tensioner Quote from Dealer

Hi, I only used OEM, I had no fitment issues and the installation was easy, I just followed the youtube videos.. I figured if the original OEM parts lasted 162,000 miles, might as well go with OEM and try to reach 300,000 miles without changing again. I'm going to drive this thing until it...

CX-5 Serpentine Belt and Tensioner Quote from Dealer

I did mine over the weekend, my 2016 has 162,000 miles on it. The belt tensioner was shot to hell, oil leaked..... probably a long time ago, but car still drove fine. The serpentine belt was in pretty bad shape, cracks all over the place. the water pump belt was okay, no cracks but...

First Auto Tranny Fluid Change at 95k (2015 CX-5)

I did mine at 150K , the fluid was dark brown. I didn't see "good debris" or bits of black clutch material in the fluid which I take as a good thing, I'm glad I changed it, i will keep changing at 50K intervals. I think there is some truth that transmission starts to slip if the fluid that...

    2016 CX-5 Drive belt pricing

Hey yrwei52, yeah, it's been awhile... good to be back. My 2016 CX-5 is still running great, best SUV I ever owned. Only complaint I have is the headlights are getting a cloudy film from the inside and outside the headlihgt housing is getting oxidized and show signs of crazing. 160K...
