Potential new CX-9 owner, have a question

if you need to have the NAV but it doesn’t come with the trim you got, just purchase the SD card from Amazon for $90! Here in Cda, I just bought one for $89 CAD all in as my Mazda 6 GS (Sport) trim didn’t come with NAV SD card and dealer would have charged $500 for it...plugged in the SD card...

Dangerous cylinder deactivation trouble on 2018 CX-5 and Mazda6 models

That is good to know (in a way reassuringly) that there hasn’t been anymore reported cases after the software update and I assume your experience so far with the new engine/reprogrammed ECU that all is also good. Am not too worried abt the mileage whether increased or decreased as I myself...

New guy here... Very interested in the CX-30

I currently have 2 Mazdas and for 3 yrs so far no issues on reliability...I've also owned 2 Toyotas in the past and a Volvo...I would say the Mazda is on par in terms of reliability though not as popular as Toyotas of course however better driving dynamics. What I also like about my 2 Mazdas...

Any Word on the 2020 CX-9 Changes?

Also looks like they have not addressed the lack of 3rd row air vents...this was their opportunity to do so with all of the planned improvements to the 2020 MY! Yes USB ports in 3rd row but still no vents. Shame...

    New Member & New CX-9

Congrats on the (new) ride and welcome to the forum. I know you'll enjoy the newer CX-9 than your previous due to the newer features & upgrades! Unfortunately for new models like the Telluride & Pallisade they're popular and buyers are lining up that's why dealers won't budge on any...

    2018 CX-9 Wiper Blade Replacement?

yup...last January I replaced all wiper blade inserts (2 front & 1 rear) and only cost $30 CAD incl taxes...the nice thing too was the parts manager at our local Mazda dealership was kind enough to replace them for me and to show me how to do it so I can do it going forward!

    Anyone installed a rear dashcam on a 2018 CX-3?

I had the same setup in my CX-9 previously (both front and rear dash cams) but in my CX-3 only have front. My experience with both dashcam setup in the CX-9 were: the rear dash cam was plugged into the rear 12v DC outlet it would sometimes shut off (not sure why and whether power was cut off...

Delayed Mazda3 Sport Delivery / Pickup?

Congrats on your new purchase! Do you mind sharing the discount (off MSRP) you got on the brand new 3 sport you got? Am also in Cda and considering getting a 3 but in the sedan version. Thanks in advance!

Extended Warranty - To buy or not to Buy

Bought my 2017 Signature without any extended warranty...thought at the time I didn't need it. So far after over 2yrs of ownership no issues so maybe I saved myself $2-3K. If something goes wrong then I'll use that savings towards repair.

    3 is a nice ride

Test drove the new 2019 3 in GT FWD and another in GS AWD trim and really nice cars! Interior very simple yet elegant and premium in fit & finish and exterior design was well thought out. Handles well despite torsion beam rears but the NVH is great for the class as it's quiet inside the cabin...

Delayed Mazda3 Sport Delivery / Pickup?

The local dealer here (Wpg) already had a GS trim in AWD - was sold right away unfortunately.

Delayed Mazda3 Sport Delivery / Pickup?

Nice! maybe the car was made in Mexico?!LOL I know most 3s are coming out of Japan but there are some built in Mexico (if VIN starts with a 2 vs. J) that's why they had the 3 there for over a month now! Anyway congrats on the new 3!

    Disabling Daytime running lights?

Here in Cda that is not an option as DRLs are required by law - simply for safety. Aside from the requirements of the law my take is the cost to replace (if an when that happens but that's an if) is always much less when factoring in the safety aspect of having DRLs which make your vehicle more...

Delayed Mazda3 Sport Delivery / Pickup?

I checked the inventory levels in our local dealers and yes the new 3s are only starting to "trickle in"...I'm sure once they have a ton of inventory will they start to sell and deliver in a hurry!

    2016-2017 CX9 Brake servicing

I couldn't find a specified mileage for the brake fluid flushing in the manual though if you research it online, a good rule of thumb is to do the fluid flushing every 30K miles...given the mileage that I have then likely when the vehicle turns 3-4yrs old. That I can accept but not at 12K miles...

Why did you purchase a CX-9?

I bought the Signature trim 2 yrs ago and no regrets so far, almost pulled trigger on the RX350 but glad we didn't...we came from a Volvo XC60 and cross shopped premium/luxury brands and a few mainstream as comparison before pulling trigger: RX350, XC90, MDX, QX60, Pilot and Highlander Reasons...

    Brake Life Milage

Sounds like the dealer trying to upsell to get add'l work/svc done that may not yet be necessary...last service of my CX9 dealer told me that brakes needed cleaning etc that would've cost $250! At my low mileage I said I'll pass...took it to a tire shop one time to do a rotation (w/c was free...

Who would like a Foot activated rear lift gate as a new option?

Nice to have but not necessary to have!

    No auto hold feature?

Funny I tested an RX350 2yrs ago with this feature and when I engaged/used it I didn't like it so if my CX9 had it most likely won't use it...to me it's a useless feature just like the auto stop-start feature in my other vehicle...just a total gimmick to save fuel but is just annoying!
