What did you pay for your CX-5?

I suspected that, but there were only 2 non roof rail cars in the country. The closest one being 6 hours away. Signature inventory has really been drying up in the midwest.

What did you pay for your CX-5?

I finally pulled the trigger on a '20 Signature in Eternal Blue Mica. I don't have all the figures in front of me, but I paid $4,002 under MSRP, not including TTL. That included $750 owner loyalty, 0% financing and no trade-in. I may have been able to go lower, but it was only 1 of 2 in the...

Turbocharged AWD Mazda3 for 2021 model year

Power figures were leaked in Australia: https://www.carexpert.com.au/news/mazda-3-turbo-to-have-170kw-420nm-all-wheel-drive/ That's 227hp and 310tq. I like our chances of getting a tune for our 2.5t a lot better now.

Tune for the 2019 CX-5 Turbo

I'm a big fan of the JB4. Here's a link to N54tech which is Burger Motorsports forum: https://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60343 You'll see a few posts regarding their interest in acquiring a 2.5t car for testing and development. In other news, it appears power figures for the 2.5t...

Turbocharged AWD Mazda3 for 2021 model year

The specs in this article seem like wishful thinking: A Mazda 3 Turbo Is Coming, But It Probably Won't Be As Good As It Could Be https://www.topspeed.com/cars/car-news/a-mazda-3-turbo-is-coming-but-it-probably-won-t-be-as-good-as-it-could-be-ar188840.html

Turbocharged AWD Mazda3 for 2021 model year

That is exactly why I'm so excited about this new 3 variant. Whether it's a tune or better OEM parts that can be swapped to the other 2.5T's in Mazda's line-up. This would absolutely be my next car if I didn't need the size and towing ability of the CX-5.

Turbocharged AWD Mazda3 for 2021 model year

I think you're right on all points, +$2k'ish. Unless they add some content to bump it up another $1k. Regardless, it'll be a very compelling vehicle almost in a segment of its own.

Torque curves for 2.5L Mazda engines

Assuming the '21 Mazda 3 gets the same 2.5T as the rest of the Mazda line-up, we should see more tuners start to work on these engines.

    CX-5 Signature Inventory Drying Up

Signature inventory has been drying up in the Midwest. The Mazda Inventory Search tool isn't showing anything that isn't already in stock, and obviously the dealerships are not a reliable source of info. Does anyone have any insight as to when Mazda will be restocking their dealer inventories?

What did you pay for your CX-5?

I'm looking for opinions on a price range for a '20 Signature (standard color) within 150 miles of Chicago, IL. Pulling the trigger by the end of the month. No trade-in, 0% financing, and Mazda loyalty. What do you guys think?

Torque curves for 2.5L Mazda engines

It's been quiet since the start of the pandemic, but DRTuned was looking into it on your side of the boarder, as is Burger Tuning in Southern California. Both are still a ways off from what I understand. I spoke with Burger and they're looking for a 2.5t equipped customer car to do a few full...

Off Topic RAV4 Prime pricing announced

96 direct competitors?!?! Clearly I haven't cast my net wide enough... Please use logic instead.

Off Topic RAV4 Prime pricing announced

Yep. Nothing to see here. Pay no attention to a direct competitor to the CX-5 that a number of forum members are cross shopping. While you're at it, take the Venza post off the General forum as well. As Mazda owners we shouldn't be shopping other brands or even thinking about other brands. Shame...

It's 175ish gas plus 180ish something elctric motor powering the front, and 54hp in back. I can't find the exact numbers now. All 3 motors hit their peak at different RPMs, so that's why it maxes out at 302hp. Either way, it's 82% of the power to the front and 18% to the rear. That I'm sure of.

And only 54hp of that 302hp is available to the rear wheel. VERY FWD biased. 5.7 to 60 will only be available in ideal conditions. I'm assuming there will be a lot of wheel spin up front otherwise.

You may want to rephrase that. The SQ5 provides about 150hp above "decent". As I said earlier, I suspect those Prime numbers are very selective and exclusive from one another. I'm anxious to read some professional reviews and controlled tests on it. I highly doubt it'll do 0-60 in 5.7 AND get...

Off Topic RAV4 Prime pricing announced

Because some people enjoy the way Mazdas/CX-5's drive compared to the competition, and those buyers put a higher value on those qualities vs fuel economy. That is Mazda's nitch. I've driven the CRV and RAV4, and as a "driver", those two have nothing on the CX-5 other than fuel economy and a few...

Ditto. $43,500 was my personal max for a loaded RAV4 Prime. The $5k premium pkg is the deal breaker. You have to select it to get the adaptive headlights. Most of my driving is at night so I gotta have the good lights. Regardless of price I'm suspicious the Prime will be lesser than the sum of...
