2024 CX-5 Turbo Air Filter Box Test - Yikes

Don’t know if it would even fit, but the airbox on my old mazda 6 2004 had exactly the kind of trap door you mentioned that would open at higher rpm to increase the airflow. It was right under the filter and would suck in warm air but it was still better than the restrictive air intake...

    2023 CX-50 Meridian Turbo Cylinder Head Replacement...Thoughts?

I have not been tracking it closely, but it is the first I see on this forum. I also have not seen anyone with a head that cracked twice, but this might just be coincidence. But as Sm1ke said, the head was redesigned in 2021 on CX-9 and CX-5 to prevent the issue. And the CX-50 use a completely...

Tire Size Recommendation for 2016 CX-9?

The kumho tire website isn’t working for me, but you also need to confirm the minimum wheel width for the tire. I think the mazda 18 wheel are 8 inch wide, and that may be too narrow for a 275 tire.

    2023 CX-50 Meridian Turbo Cylinder Head Replacement...Thoughts?

This is the first i hear of a CX-50 with a cylinder head replacement. But that fleet of vehicles is relatively young (not a lot of CX-50 with high mileage yet) I am not sure if the cracked head issue is a thing on the CX-50. I was hoping that since it has a different turbo system than the...

    22" Wheels on a CX-9 (2nd gen 2021)

Have you tried this wheel comparison tool ? I find it very useful to find out the impact of wheel and tire difference. You can start with the original wheel set-up or use sm1ke set up as a baseline. https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?wheel1=255-50-20X8.5ET45

    2021 CX-9 Liftgate opening dimensions?

Is 37.5´´ the diagonal between the top and bottom opening and 29’’ the actual vertical height? That is what I understand but want to clarify for those that don’t own a cx-9 and it may not be obvious that the top of the opening is not in line with the rear of the car and may wrongly interpret it...

    Year 2 CX-90 changes?

Sounds like you need a bench seat. For that the lowest trim CX-90 or the CX-70 would fit the bill.

Lease take over questions on 2024 CX-50 Meridian

I agree. Also, you can likely negotiate the price of the vehicle down a bit. I don’t think you should be paying MSRP for vehicles anymore in Canada. If you already own a mazda then you can get the mazda loyalty discount which reduces the interest rate by 1.5%. If you don’t own a mazda you can...

    Limp Mode? 2022 CX-9

you might still have the five year powertrain warranty, that should cover most things related to limp mode including EGR valves getting stuck.

Grainy, dim speedometer (after conversion from km/h to mph) 2022 CX-9

There is a digital version of the manual: https://www.mazdausa.com/static/manuals/2022/cx-9/visual.html It can sometimes be easier to use. Glad to see you enjoy the car just as much as I do.

Grainy, dim speedometer (after conversion from km/h to mph) 2022 CX-9

Blinking red padlock is normal I believe. I can recall seing it in my car. It is part of the anti-theft system and should be mentioned in the owner’s manual as well. The CX-9 does not have i-stop or i-eloop.

Grainy, dim speedometer (after conversion from km/h to mph) 2022 CX-9

Depending what you want the final result to be, you may be able to only replace the MPH ring. This would give you MPH on the outer ring and MPH on the inner ring so you would lose out on the ability to read km/h but that might not be an issue if you are not planning to drive to Canada or Mexico...

    Mazda Connected Services Info

is the remote engine start available without the Mazda connected service? ( ex: from the keyfob). I don’t care a whole lot about using my phone to remote start the car, but if I bought a car with remote start only to realize it was only free for two years I would be quite disappointed. It is...

Off Topic Dealerships need to end

A few dealer car companies are trying to go the « no haggle » route by not allowing negotiations at all. Like Genesis for example. Funny thing is when I started shopping for a car last year, i was surprised to find myself disappointed that I could not negotiate the price. Not because I am a good...

2008 CX-9 No power to AC compressor

If you are correct that would be very odd. First step would be to take a second look and confirm your are testing the correct relay. (AC relay). The second step would be to check the cable leading from the relay/fuse box to the compressor magnetic clutch. I don’t see how 87 could possibly be...

2008 CX-9 No power to AC compressor

All i can say is to follow the diagnostic steps i proposed in the workshop manual. Reading it I think the signal to the relay goes from the front climate control unit to the refrigerant pressure switch then to the PCM and then to the relay. Any fault in these systems could prevent the magnetic...
