It doesnt physically move the bulb but the positive terminal in the switch assembly. Black plastic switch goes in between the positive and the light assembly when its off

I think I can live without cargo light rather then spending $$$ to replace the rbcm. Shouldnt it log a DTC at least if the rbcm is not operating at 100%? Or maybe I just try to replace that cargo light mosfet transistor and see if it works

What pins are you talking about? I’ve removed steering wheel on a cx5 and it’s not a multi spline. It’s a hexagonal end where you cannot get it wrong by just 3 degrees. It was a 2014 cx5 mode I replaced the steering wheel on.

I had a smooth shiny leather steering wheel on my 2012 model and it was full of bubbles, had it replaced today with the KDY6-32-982 which looks like a fake leather, hopefully it’s a superseded better one.

Check how many turns from centre to the full lock left and right and see if they are the same. If they are, just do a wherl alignment and put the steering whee straight.

You don’t need to drop the crossmember but it would be easier to work on the car if you could lift it on the hoist. I i had to drop the crossmember only to replace the steering rack and had the transmission jack underneath to hold it.
