    Cant go past 40 mph!

What other mods are on the car? What downpipe did you choose? Describe how you installed it and and problems or difficulties you may have encountered during the install. Did the car run fine right before the install or did you have any unresolved problems? Did you install anything else or do...

Front suspension noise; need help identifying problem

Either the sway bar end links (cheap and easy to replace), or most likely the sway bar bushings (cheap but more difficult to replace). New shocks, especially high performance ones, make the symptoms worse. I've isolated my issue to the sway bar bushings, and will be replacing them soon.

    need more power

A place? You do not need a shop or tuner to install a simple SRI or CAI intake. That's your first step. And no, don't ask us which one. Search and read the threads here. Do not fall into the cat back exhaust trap. Your stock CBE is excellent and you'll see no significant gains by changing...

    Wrong Oil

Best choice will be Shell Rotella T-6 5W40 full synthetic.

No, you should not be seeing hp that high. But you probably are or should be 25-30 whp above stock. Get a 3" dp/rp (mandatory fuel pump internals upgrade), go one step colder on your plugs, and THEN you will approach 290-300 whp.

OP: Thats a lot of money for a marginal return on investment. Few knowledgeable MS3 owners, even on fully bolted and tuned cars, are running aftermarket exhaust manifolds. I think you have your power mod priorities messed up. Most people do not consider that mod until they go big turbo. Get...

    1st to 2nd gear grind

The soft, sloppy stock rear engine mount is notorious, even when our cars were new, for causing this "grind." An aftermarket mount or insert is an almost standard first upgrade mod in these cars. Search for threads in second gear grind and rear motor mount. Dozens of them. Literally.

    Spark plugs have Sludge/Rust!

Is it actually inside the cylinder head, on top of the piston, or just inside the valve cover around the outside of the plug? If the latter, try using vacuum hose attachment to a shop vac to pull it out.

    Spark plugs have Sludge/Rust!

Agree with above. And those NGK plugs are the correct part number, but are gapped way too large, by my eyeball estimates. They need to be no more than .030". It is hard to get a consistent, hot, reliable spark when the gap is too large. If you have replaced them, be sure you use stock heat...

4th GEAR WOT Log to Redline

There is a deal going now that gives you the ScanXL standard software free when purchasing the dongle: http://www.scantool.net/ Upgrade to the Pro is only $20 more, but you would benefit from the Mazda PIDs, which are extra. There are package deals under the products tab, so look around...

4th GEAR WOT Log to Redline

This, with a USB 2.0 connection will be faster. http://www.scantool.net/obdlink-sx.html And the basic ScanXL will be better than Torque. I use ScanXL Pro with Mazda specific PIDs. Not sure they have PIDs for gen 2, for those with later model cars. Faster yet is the Tatrix Open Port 2.0...

4th GEAR WOT Log to Redline

Looks like the log you posted on MSF. Very poor refresh rate, some important PIDs refreshing a full second apart. Using Bluetooth, if you are, is much slower than a wired connection. Processor speed is also important. Laptops and USB 2.0 works better with a wired connection to the OBD2...

Have you upgraded the downpipe and replaced the midpipe? If you are 3" all the way from the turbo, you have a turbo back exhaust, rather than a cat back. What are your current mods?

How long should the stock clutch last?

94,000 miles of very aggressive driving. Lots of clutch drop launched, and REGULAR flat shifting from 2-3 on up. My mods put me at 300 whp. This is a stout clutch that should last me a lot longer.

Disagree. An exhaust manifold is an absolute waste with stock DP and midpipe still in place. Lipstick on a pig. He needs to address the serious restrictions between his stock manifold and his CBE. It is easy to outflow the maximum output of the stock K04 turbo by adding a good catless or...

Blown Turbo? Blown seals? Sad owner.

White smoke not likely blown turbo or its seals. Smoke would probably be black. Blue smoke is oil, like piston rings, blow by, etc, White smoke is typically water getting into cylinder. Cracked cylinder head, not enough antifreeze leading to crack of head or block from freezing conditions...

My 7 year's experience with Hypertech...

It's ok. OP has his own experience and his own sense of value. I do wonder what other mods he has installed, whether they are compatible with each other and HT and whether he may have installed them all correctly. One boost leak or something like a hose off of the boost control solenoid, just...

If you want to monitor, and have an Android phone or tablet with Blue Tooth, there is an app called Torque that some guys use with an inexpensive BT dongle plugged into the OBD port. I use a more pro monitoring setup, ScanXL Pro with a Mazda PIDs. It connects to my laptop with a fast J2534...

Another way to assess performance is stopwatch timing in third gear. That is safer from a ticket perspective. Make timed runs from 50 to 75 mph. See if you can break 3.0 seconds. Go WOT at 40 mph so that you have full boost at 50 when you start the timer. I'm doing it in about 2.7-2.8. You...

Thanks. Your power would be a guess. A CBE does not really produce much gain, because the stock CBE flows so well. What you seem to be missing is a 3" downpipe and racepipe either catless or catted, ahead of your CBE. I attribute my dp/rp to a lot of my gains. The most severe exhaust...
