Got my 929 on modified fd rx7 coilovers with custom springs finally. It's so perfect but the top link of the front suspension is basically resting on the top of the strut tower. Gonna have a friend modify them a bit so it will stop knocking over every little bump.

    Chef's 1992 929 project

Got the 929 on modified fd rx7 coilovers finally. She's pretty dumped. I have to have a buddy modify the top of my front strut towers because one of the links is hitting on every little bump in the road.

You guys need to invest in a set of car skates with ball bearing caster wheels. They are by far the best thing I ever purchased for my garage.

Thanks man. The 929 is certainly not a common or problem free car but I like to think it makes up for it with good looks and the fact that nobody knows what they are.

Finally starting to put together the coilovers for my 929. Nobody makes kits for them so I have been getting creative. I bought FD rx7 front and rear strut bottom mounts and strut inserts that are 50mm (2in.) longer than the ones they send with the FD rx7 kit. From what people have said about...

I absolutely love the way the car looks and sounds. And by sounds I mean because it has more leaks in the exhaust than pipe so it has a deep growl. I do plan on doing some kind of straight pipe exhaust on it as soon as funds allow. Thinking about some sort of blast pipe setup on 2.5" pipe just...

Closeout on tirerack for 89 a piece. They might still have some. Had to get creative with what car they were for since tirerack doesn't let you put in what specs you are looking for.

92+ mazda 929 HD JIC Coilovers

Let me know what you come up with. Parts are impossible to find and shipping and such kills the vibe on a lot of things I would like to buy. Specifically I would like to pick up this rear spoiler. http://insurance-group.net/products/insurance/aero/sp_sedan_sentia_sp.htm

92+ mazda 929 HD JIC Coilovers

I'd be interested in a front bumper or full body kit eventually when I have cash to set aside. There is stuff for sale on yahoo auctions japan but shipping gets very costly and it will take a long time.

92+ mazda 929 HD JIC Coilovers

My 1992 is an HD generation 929/sentia/ms-9/serenia. They had a ton of different names. HE generation would be 1995 when they stopped production in the USA.

Fatti's "im an old bastard" 929

I cut the springs on mine just to get her a little lower. Not the ideal way to go but all 4 struts are completely shot anyway. I'll be putting together coilovers soon. FD rx7 strut bottoms work on a 929 but they need some light modding and the fronts and rears get swapped.

Fatti's "im an old bastard" 929

I know the feeling 100%. Parts are either stupid cheap because it is an ancient car, silly expensive because it was not a popular car, or straight up nonexistent.

Also this will go on soon. Picked up a urethane FD Rx7 R1 style lip for pretty cheap and the dimensions are damn near perfect for the 929's front bumper.

And she finally got her own set of wheels. 19x10 +45 Bremmer Kraft BR08 with 235/35/19 Federal 595 tires on them. Nothing top of the line but I paid 89 each for the wheels so I couldn't turn them down.
