Regarding rusting - how much rain/water has your car been exposed to? I live in NM and we get barely any rain, maybe 5 inches a year or so. It rains hard occassionally, but I was wondering if this might me an issue if they rust so easily? My car is a P5, and I'm looking into the cat-back...

I dunno, I like both of them. I think they make your car look a lot better, the black vinyl really looks good with your tint and rims. And I think it would look like its missing something if you took off the bottom one.

The 3 is definitely bigger, I test drove one and I felt like I was driving a tank compared to my P5 (felt a lot like a matrix). There may be more power but I still like the P5 better. It's more responsive and thus feels a lot quicker.
