    Mazda5 central jacking points?

If you can just get the old solenoid out (cut it out or cut the frozen nuts off) you could zip tie the new one in place. It's never easy!

    Mazda5 central jacking points?

Hello walks, If you're trying to get the vent solenoid out, there's a hole in the jacking plate you can put a socket extension through, and I got the second nut off with a socket swivel. I also tried to get that jacking plate off but gave up. I think I got one of the bolts out and there was no...

    Transmission fluid change

Late to reply but look up how to do the fluid flush by removing the hose off the cooler method. I think you need 8 or 9 quarts but you get almost all the dirty fluid out. I use the Mazda M-V and got it from tascaparts last time.

    P0442 Evap Leak - Solved

Hi JM, Sadly, I did not test the new part for comparison. I thought of that after I installed it but of course, too late. I tried cleaning the old one by spraying WD-40 into it but it didn't help. Carb cleaner might be a better choice? Mine is also missing a hose clamp on one side... I agree...

    P0442 Evap Leak - Solved

Hi Roboto, I have 109k on my 2012. From what I understand, P0442 could be anything in the evap system: loose/faulty gas cap, purge solenoid, vent solenoid, charcoal canister, vacuum leak in any of the many hoses. Definitely start by making sure your gas cap is tight, that costs nothing! I...

    P0442 Evap Leak - Solved

Hey guys, In case anyone else has this problem, here's what I found on the 2012 Mazda 5. Small evap leak P0442 can be several different things starting with a loose fuel cap. In my case, it turned out to be the canister vent solenoid which is located at the rear of the car, directly above the...

How often brake pads needs to be inspected - every 2 yrs or 30k?

I give the pad thickness a look every time I rotate the tires which is 7500 miles. The also get checked annually during state inspection. Still have the original pads at 108k. I'm planning on replacing them in about a month when it warms up a bit here.
