I think you should get a carbon hood ;-) Just joking, car looks great B, keep up the good work. Has it changed the handling any now that there is less weight in the rear, I suppose it probably compensates for the hood.
I get that noise too. On my last service the dealership tracked the noise down to the rack and pinion assembly. They said it's nothing to worry about, but if you still have warranty get it replaced.

Good job. For my radar detector I extended the power wire and ran it through the dash, up the driver's side A-pillar, along the headliner and down to the mirror. Nice and clean with a factory look and easy to do.
