I went to the mall and paid the doc at pearl vision 20 bucks and got mine just like all the high school kids round here. But I imagine that you would have to have a ligit reason if you couldn't find a shady eye doc.

Here in MO we goto an eye Dr. and tell him the light hurts our eyes. And he'll give ya a light sensitive eyes script to show the cops so they don't give ya a ticket for illegal tint. As the tinted windows are for your medical condition. Don't know if it works in Il or not.

Mines a B8 with BP01 on the head also. I think all 1.8 SOHC heads are BP01's cuz it's been on all the junk yard 1.8 SOHC's also. Not sure about the DOHC ones yet as I've yet to see one lol.

The SOHC ecu may but it may not be optimized for the DOHC. I've been recomended to switch out the ecu. even if I was just gonna swap in a bp from a 90-94 protege lx(DOHC). And to make sure to pull an engine from the same trans type as my old one or to get the complete wiring harness as well.
