Heres a question for you guys......

Yes it has been done. Of the two I know of, one has had no problems, and the other has had to replace the sensor a couple times.

Hacked up my front bumper today

The center grille has a crash bar behind it. Cutting out additional rows won't do anything useful unless you cut your crash bar. It's beyond easy to remove the front bumper on these cars (takes me under 5 minutes). Taking the bumper off makes removing the fog light surround much easier...

    Ms6 Handling???!!!

I like going fast but I didn't want to be pushing an engine to its limits, so the MSP was never an option for me. Between the 3 and 6, the 3 may feel more 'tossable', but I love the 4wd of the 6. No front or rear drive car can put as much power to the ground in a turn without much stickier...

    MS6 Amp location tip

If you're installing an amp (or amps) in your mazdaspeed 6, I recommend checking to see if it will fit between the back of the rear seat and the extra brace the mazdaspeed has between the seat and the trunk. (You will have to remove the rear panel of the trunk liner at least for the...

    Component Amp Installation

I wired the amp to the ignition which isn't really ideal, but I'm going to leave it like that until summer.

How to install a 4ch. amp - Bose AND non-Bose

Here is the wiring diagram I promised

    Component Amp Installation

*Update* The head unit outputs are working fine - as I increase the 'volume' up to max the AC output increases up to around 1.8 or 1.9V, which is exactly what a 2V preamp signal should do. Using the Blaupunkt 'plug n play' wiring harness I bought, I wired up everything except the remote...

How to install a 4ch. amp - Bose AND non-Bose

You will still have to wire the power cables and remote turn-on wire for your amp. There is a 12V/ground connector on the Blaupunkt harness, but I don't recommend using these wires to power a good amp. There is also an extra red 'ignition' wire with the harness. I believe you can use this as...

How to install a 4ch. amp - Bose AND non-Bose

I'm not doing a full installation write up here, but I have some potentially very helpful information for anyone wanting to upgrade their main amp without hacking up their factory wires. Blaupunkt sells a series of amps called 'plug n play' amps (NO, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO UPGRADE TO A BLAUPUNKT...

    Downpipe! Any Opinions???

I haven't even looked at replacing mine, but I'm guessing the downpipe on these cars is like the air intake on my rr - you have two options: The first involves a lot of work to remove surrounding parts but is really pretty easy, and the second can be faster and less work but extremely...

    Component Amp Installation

I tested the lines at the main amp under the seat and at the sub amp in the trunk. I believe it should be a constant DC voltage, so I checked that first. When everything came back zero, I tested for AC voltage as well and still got nothing.

    Downpipe! Any Opinions???

I really hope nobody took that seriously

    Downpipe! Any Opinions???

Forget all that stuff. Just cut the stock crap off and weld on 3" pipe down and straight out the side behind a front tire.

    Component Amp Installation

Yeah, that's pretty much what I've figured out. I would have had everything done by now, but for some reason my remote turn on wire is dead. The head unit works fine and is putting out a signal to the amp, but the amp isn't turning on. I checked all the fuses and nothing is wrong there. Any...

    Component Amp Installation

If I have to do something custom I plan to buy another harness and splice my own RCA connectors into the pre out signals. For going from the amp to the speakers, I could either go into the BOSE amp outputs or I could splice back into the harness behind the head unit and put jumpers in the BOSE...

    Component Amp Installation

I read on another thread that hooking up an amp for the door speakers is as easy as plugging into the RCA pre outs. Either that's not right, or I'm missing something. I have a really nice amp from one of my other cars that I was planning to put in my 6. I got everything taken apart only to...

    Driveshaft Options

I was hoping custom wouldn't be the answer. I don't even know much about the stock one but I'm guessing it's steel and way too heavy. I might never get around to it if I find an R34 Skyline GTR soon, but if I can't find a driveshaft on the market I'll look into making one myself. Don't hold...

    Wheel & Tire Options

It's not just 'some markings', 18x7 55 is the size marking built into the wheel. If you try to measure without the right tools, chances are it's not going to be accurate.

Hey All, come vote (wheel color)

It's just too bad so many cars have silver wheels - it makes them not stand out as much

Hey All, come vote (wheel color)

The photoshop needs some work. They're not that great in the picture, but I think the bronze would look stellar on the car. I have bronze on my black MS6, and they wouldn't look anywhere near that dark in that light. I'm voting bronze but I think the silver and gunmetal would also be nice.
