OEM Crossbars - Pain in the butt

I agree with the terrible design. It's meant to be fixed permanently on the vehicle. I think I'll get the special tools like the Husky Accessory Set (19-Piece) with the 3/8 in. drive 8 in. flex extension which should allow for a regular torx bit to be used.

OEM Crossbars - Pain in the butt

Thanks, PTguy. I just took delivery of the OEM crossbars and it is metal, like you said. It actually feels pretty decent for the price compared to the Thule alternative. I'm likely keeping it. The mounting design is terrible, though. They are meant to be permanently fixed on the vehicle and not...

What did you pay for your CX-9?

Looks like Mazda increased the cash incentive by $500: $2,500 Customer Cash good towards 2019 Mazda CX-9. Customer Cash cannot be combined with all offers, including special lease and special APR offers financed through Participating Lender. Offer valid from 10/1/2019 to 10/31/2019. No cash...

    Engine Light went on ...

This water pump issue is the exact reason why we traded in our perfectly running 2010 CX-9 GT. Our vehicle wasn't experiencing the water pump issue yet, but with 103K miles, we felt it was a matter of when it was going to happen and felt that we didn't want to go through the hassle and expense...

OEM Crossbars - Pain in the butt

Since the OEM cross bars attach to the side of the roof rails rather than at the top, is the weight of whatever is being attached to the crossbars properly supported by the roof rails? Wouldn't crossbars attached to the top be better at distributing the weight which in turn provides better...

What did you pay for your CX-9?

Took delivery of a 2019 CX-9 Signature in Machine Grey Metallic for $41,448 + TTL and was able to get 0.9% APR incentive for 63 months. Negotiated purchase price via email with GM of dealership, and trade-in of 2010 CX-9 GT FWD was negotiated at dealership for obvious reasons. Had a bit of back...

Any Word on the 2020 CX-9 Changes?

Thanks for sharing. If these are indeed the changes for the CX-9, the 2019 Signature is more preferable to me since I prefer the 2nd row bench seats, as opposed to the Captains chairs. The 9-inch screen might be better if the Mazda Connect is also updated (which I expect it would be) and the...

Any Word on the 2020 CX-9 Changes?

Not sure I would pick that rear end over the current one.

Any Word on the 2020 CX-9 Changes?

Both of these seem like viable changes, especially Mazda Connect v2.0. However, I don't know if these 2 would be worth paying a premium on a 2020 over the 2019. I guess it depends on the deal.

Any Word on the 2020 CX-9 Changes?

It's almost October and it seems there's still no news/leaks from Mazda about the 2020 CX-9. I wonder if that inline 6 is being shoehorned into it and will be announced at the Tokyo Auto Show near the end of October. Ha ha, wishful thinking, I know. All joking aside, it's uncharacteristic of...

What did you pay for your CX-9?

If you can find out the difference in invoice prices between a GT AWD and a GT FWD, take that difference and subtract it against the $37400 price that most of the members are getting for their GT AWD deals. This should give you an idea whether your price is good or not. BTW, The $37400 price...

Hot cabins: radiant heat sink versus reflective capacity.

Try putting clear tint on the windshield like llumar airblue. Itll block the UV from entering and will protect your interior better. I have this on my vehicles and they keep cool and get cool quicker than if I didnt have them. All my vehicles have dark interiors.

What did you pay for your CX-9?

Hmm...not so sure about a "Simple simulation shows it is better to take 2k discount and skip 0.9 APR". I think it depends on whether the purchase is being financed or not, and if financed, it would depend on the financing rate to be obtained from a 3rd party. Furthermore, the 0.9 financing...

What did you pay for your CX-9?

Awesome. Seems like $37400 is the going rate these days. Were you able to take advantage of Mazda financing incentives with that price? The dealerships in my area seems to have minimal inventory for GT AWD in a color that I would be willing to live with. It's mostly Signatures in my area right...

BTW, did the $37400 include the $1045 destination fee? Thanks.

I think you did quite well and leveraged the $2k rebate as you should with your own financing. Congratulations!

What did you pay for your CX-9?

In cars.com, there*s a *Price Map* section within the listing. It shows lowest local and regional sale price for a vehicle similar to the listing. That can serve as a guide to what realistically that vehicle can be sold for. Dealers are not going to sell a vehicle at a loss, they will either get...

What did you pay for your CX-9?

Im in Atlanta. Yes, I was sent an official quote and I clarified if the quoted price qualified for the Mazda financing offer, which the dealer confirmed. I suggest doing a search on Autotrader or Cars.com for the ATL area and emailing the dealerships that advertise the price youre interested in.
