    2020 CX9 cargo cover mechanics

This eBay listing for Genuine OEM 2016-2020 Mazda CX-9 Retractable Cargo Cover says that the part numbers (TK78-V1-350) are the same for 2016 to 2020. So, I'm not sure if this is an updated implementation of the cargo cover.

Any Word on the 2020 CX-9 Changes?

Agree. I was merely quoting the article. My kids did mention that the cargo space behind the 3rd row (with 3rd row seats up) seems shorter (less) than the previous gen.

What did you pay for your CX-9?

I might pay a visit to the stealership for headlight adjustment too. My better half, who drives the CX-9 more than I do, has noticed that the headlights seem to be focused downward and was asking if I can adjust it. I, myself, don't have an issue with it, but I'll bring the vehicle in to have it...

The cash incentives were quite a bit higher than a few months back, so awesome for you.

Ford Duratec V6 Water pump issue in the news

The folks that were interviewed had their engine replaced due to the water pump breaking. I guess from that mechanic gentleman's point of view, it isn't a defect since he has fixed all the engines that encountered that issue. I think he was making a point that a new engine is not really needed...

Ford Duratec V6 Water pump issue in the news

Inexpensive car parts leading to unbelievably costly repairs. The article is from a local ABC station here in the ATL. There is a video in the article page that shows an example of the aftermath of a water pump failure.

Same here. The 2019 Auburn interior also covers the dash and part of the door cards. It really stands out. This, and the unavailability of 2nd row bench seating on the Signature make the 2019 more preferable to me.

    Engine Light went on ...

Glad you got it fixed. I agree with your statement that the Ford DNA of the previous gen CX-9 is what's causing all its issues. I traded in our 2010 CX-9 GT FWD late September and got $5400 for it. I just didn't want to deal with the hassle of replacing the water pump and thought to just trade...

Totalled 2008 CX9 - Thoughts from folks who moved to Gen 2?

My BMW was kind of a coincidental purchase. We bought it from a relative that treated the car as a garage queen, never really drove it and just had it for the sake of having one. It was more or less a trophy of sorts, like a psychological victory that a BMW was in the garage. Relative got tired...

Totalled 2008 CX9 - Thoughts from folks who moved to Gen 2?

Having owned a previous generation CX-9 (a 2010 GT FWD), and now, a 2019 CX-9 Signature, I can tell you that the 2019 is a better vehicle than the previous generation. At the time when I bought our 2010, it was the best driving 3-row vehicle that can be had at a reasonable cost. Keep in mind...

Any Word on the 2020 CX-9 Changes?

Aside from having Carplay right off the bat in the 2019, we've used the ventilated seats quite often prior to the weather turning cooler. The surround camera is used always when parking to make sure that we're always within the parking lines, especially when pulling up to a parking spot to face...

Guide 2nd Generation CX-9: Bose subwoofer improvement

I was able to semi-complete this DIY. Just need to finish putting sound deadener on the side of the subwoofer. My wife was hungry and we had to go out for dinner. But even with the partially complete job, the Bose system already sounds significantly better. The difference is really noticeable...

Any Word on the 2020 CX-9 Changes?

Since we bought the 2019 Signature, it would be a deal breaker to only have the 2nd row Captain's chairs. I'm not really sure how the Dark Chestnut looks but we really like the Auburn interior and is one of the big reasons why we chose the Signature over a GT AWD. The rest of the changes are...

Any Word on the 2020 CX-9 Changes?

We purchased our 2019 Signature for $41448. At an MSRP of $46710, this equates to a discount of $5262 which includes a $1250 rebate ($750 loyalty + $500 APR). If I didn't take the Mazda 0.9% APR incentive, we would be eligible for an additional $1500 rebate which would make it $6762. So, yes...

Any Word on the 2020 CX-9 Changes?

Same here. The KIA dealerships are currently marking up the price. Also, the 2nd row Captains chairs-only configuration of the Telluride SX Premium AWD was a bit of a deal breaker. If they had offered it with a bench, I would have considered waiting for the demand to die down.
