    2nd guessing--problems fixed in 05?

Very good news, thanks! We have to wait till they get one in at the dealer, hope that means we get one that hasn't been driven much yet. My friend's 2.3GT had like 4 clicks when he got it. He's the reason I thought of Mazda3 for our potential car. Apparently the dealership will give you 100...

    2nd guessing--problems fixed in 05?

Would it affect the clutch in any way by causing slightly extra wear? Or does the rev only take place once the clutch is in? Also, we decided on getting a Mazda today, and since we can't get Winning Blue we're getting Velocity Red. My second choice but since you can't get the Blue in Canada...

    2nd guessing--problems fixed in 05?

Well for me at least I felt as if the throttle was staying open after I had let off the gas and pushed in the clutch pedal. We were in a 2.0 btw. And I never bothered to check when she drove it to see if it did it then. Mayeb the feel is closer to her Neon than my Toyota. What it really sounded...

But is it supposed to happen, and if so, any idea of the purpose? Smoother shifts maybe?

Does it still pay to shop around for a car?

Oh, we're buying new, that's the reason I asked. I used to live in a town that had about a 4 mile main street with like 20 something used car dealers on or within sight of it. Come to think of it I haven't seen any 3s or recent Mazda products on lots.. So since we're buying a new car will it be...

Does it still pay to shop around for a car?

Just wondering, should I be visiting Mazda dealers around town/province or are they all hooked together now with regards to pricing? My dad saved a few grand on a car by driving 80Kms, but that was in 1990. What, if anything, varies between same make dealers these days other than customer service?

    Model 3's?

I found two just by typing in "Mazda 3 blue". Both were in China though, I've always kept my eBayin' on this continent or the UK. But they are there. Kyosho makes the ones I found, I have one of their Supras in 1/18th that kicks...

First post here, few questions about getting a new 3.

M3 5MT, those are Canadian funds though, as you probably know. The Neon's costing durn near 300$/Month though too.. A 3's certainly 100$ better than what she's got now. Sidulator, I don't work for CN, but I'd like to if given the chance. I'm just a train nut is all. Took that photo myself, I...

    2nd guessing--problems fixed in 05?

Re: ballboy's post above (or below I guesss depending on your settings..) Were you talking about the throttle jumping up a tad as you shift? I noticed the 3 we test drove was doing that, I thought I just wasn't used to the clutch and was leaving the throttle on a split second too long. Are we...

Okay, one more question and I'm gonna try to wrap it up for the day. We're looking at a GS model, manual, with the power pkg. Most likely A/C too, with its weight penalty. Is this a decent price? The dealer made us a printout of some stuff, I'll post it here rather than explaining everything:

Yeah, I think we're gonna test drive an Impreza on the weekend but the 3's certainly cheaper, plus the Neon's going to cost her to get rid of, she still owes about 7k on it. Low Km's and higer trim level or not, I dunno if anyone wants a '99 Neon for seven grrr. I should actually be adding a...

Has anyone compared the 3 with a base Impreza while car searching? The pricing looks similar from what I can tell from the websites.

Thanks M3 5MT! I really like it, and as you can see it cleans up nice. I was lucky to get a first car that was inexpensive and cheap to operate but still cleans up nice. It's the best on of em around for a few miles at least. Original paint from the mirrors up. I use Meguiars everything pretty...

Badger Biker: Yeah, we ad a lot of fun, sorta a non-traditional way to spend a Valentine's Day.. wongpres: Oh crap, you're right! I see that the interior colours are greyed out on the 2.0s on Mazda.ca when you choose Winning Blue.. Does anyone else find the Indigo Blue Mica to be pretty...

There you go, should work now. Thanks for the tips so far by the way.. I haven't read EVERY post on here or anything, but I do know a fair amount thanks to this place.. She also came up with the idea of looking at a Golf, we might take one out on Sat, but it's only rated at either 100 or 115HP...

Hey all! This is gonna be a long post, thanks for reading and thanks for any help/comments! I've been sorta lurking around here for a few months since my friend bought a Mazda 3 Sport 5 Door and I was out in it. It's amazing quick, got an intake and some other stuff on the stock 2.3L. I didn't...
