What have you done to your CX-9 today?

I won't say what that reminds me of...(headshake) I should learn to meditate though. Ha ha, now it looks like a rocket box! (Reminds me, I need to wash mine and figure out a way to hang it in the garage when stored). I bought some F11 Topcoat. I'm going to clay bar the vehicle and apply the...

Installed paddle shifters in my CX-9

CQ: CX-9 diagonal and offroad test --- Fail!

There are definitely a few of us who take their "trucks" off-road. In that scenario, these tests are very relevant. You can easily find yourself with two tires in the air on mild off-road trails. These results didn't change my mind about the vehicle because it's main purpose in my household...

Guide Maintenance Mode for 2016 / 2017 CX-5 electronic brakes

Thanks for posting this, just completed the procedure (the wrong way) so I'm saving this for future use.

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

Same here. I'm used to maintaining motorcycles, and have done many, many brake jobs on bikes (which are easy). But I was surprised at just how easy it was with the car. I didn't even need to pull out any fluid, all levels are still within the marks. All that being said, I did apparently do it...

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

This is correct. I suppose I could have put all the old pads back in, but once you pass a certain point in a repair/maintenance procedure, you may as well just go all the way and "make it right".

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

Well now, I wish I had found this yesterday! (hand) I searched high and low for tutorials and video's to make sure there were no EPB specific tasks I needed to watch out for. I found nothing. I got a copy of the manual, it made no mention of this procedure. I watched numerous youtube videos...

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

Today I decided to replace the rear pads. Dealer told me two weeks ago the pads were less than 3mm. Guess what, after buying new pads, pulling everything apart, and pulling the old pads...all four of them were thicker than 4mm, thickest one was 6mm. F$&king liars...the car had months before...

    2016 CX-5 Power Loss

I was able to get the seat belt reminder to start ringing yesterday. I had a metal folder on the seat (which weighs nothing) and my finger resting on the folder. DING DING DING... I took my finger off as I was looking around the cabin for the cause of the alert and it stopped. I was able to...

    Missing towing eyelet?

This is the information I've been given as well, holds true for both Mazdas I currently have.

Test drove a CX-9 Signature "dreadful A/C" is correct

I'm getting this same complaint, although mostly from my 3 yr old. She's always cold and she sits directly behind the driver. Even with the rear controls set higher than the rest of the cabin, I now carry a light blanket for her. To clarify, everyone else in the car is warm at the time.

2018 CX-9 problems - towed twice to the dealer.

I agree that a lot of people think this way, and never bother to drive the car. If they did, they*d realize that despite being a 4banger, the motor delivers more torque at 2000rpm than many V6*s. It also pulls like a freight train up to 5000rpm. It's surprising for an I4, but most people just...

New AA \ ACP Thread (with Poll)

I've been following the thread on the *other* board and it seems the Aux port has two verions. One version is for the Chinese market (which has had AA/CP for a while now) and the other verion is the upgrade part for other markets which are now transitioning to AA/CP. The old Aux unit part number...

What have you done to your CX-9 today?

What did I do today? I walked into the garage just in time to watch my wife back her CX-5 into my CX-9. Both cars now have damaged quarters and a damaged bumper. Im trying sooo hard to remain calm...

Installed paddle shifters in my CX-9

Yep, looks like I'll have to wait a bit. True, I'd bet that it will work as well. Sounds like it's worth a try. My thoughts as well, as I recall this part was pretty inexpensive as well. Better to have it and not need it than the other way around. Keep us in the loop, It'd be nice to put...

    CX-9 OEM Trailer Hitch, wiring?

That's correct. The connection was behind the panel on my car and I did not specifically purchase a tow package. Taking off the panels is actually pretty easy, but as far as I'm aware, the only way to know is to peek back there. I think PTguy can answer that better than me, good luck!

    Daytime running lights dim/flickering

Yep, hopefully my luck holds out again. 2016 CX-5 (purchased in July 2015). This is a bit disconcerting though. I have LED's that have lasted MUCH longer than these DRL's, in rougher conditions (mounted on a V-twin motorcycle that I use off road). That was my primary reason for going full LED...
