2018 CX-9 Touring Premium vs GT?

Also some of the interior trim/padding is different: specifically the knee rest on the driver's side of the center console is either hard plastic or not cushioned on the Touring compared to the GT. Same goes for the center armrest. There may be some other areas too where the padding/cushioning...

    truck light?

there is a black rocker switch on the trunk light on my 2017 CX-9. It's possible yours got switched to the off position or that the bulb burned out.

Have You Tried the AIO Tweaks?

    What firmware are you on?

Charging current of USB ports inside the center console

Thanks for the recommendation! I did not even know something like this existed before I read your post, so I thought I was resigned to never being able to more quickly charge my phone in the armrest or having to get a separate lighter outlet charger and have a cord hanging out. I've been using...

Have You Tried the AIO Tweaks?

Just this past Friday, after originally posting here, I did try version 2.7 with better results. Android Auto now works much better and after about a 600 mile road trip this weekend I better understand the "quirks" of how to interact with the AA interface using the control knob. Voice Commands...

Too much loose mid bass in 2016 CX9 Bose stereo - quick improvement

Just did the outside of mine with Boom Mat and used a bit over three 12"x12.5"x2mm sheets. A considerable improvement! Bass is just a bit boomy still at certain frequencies, but overall it's a lot tighter sounding. It improved so much that "muddiness" has gone away from the subwoofer and now I'm...

Have You Tried the AIO Tweaks?

I have not. I upgraded to the newest firmware and I don't think AA is compatible with it. Either way, if the music/audio quality hasn't improved then I'm not really interested. I just want something that "works" and the Mazda system is the closest to that, albeit with a few inconveniences.

Have You Tried the AIO Tweaks?

Mazda Connected Services do not work in the U.S. (discontinued around 2014/2015). I think the WiFi feature can be used for some of the more advanced "hacks" and/or fixes if something goes wrong. I've enabled WiFi in mine and connected to my phone's hotspot and it does nothing in terms of...

Just received New 2018 CX-9 Info from Dealer

Did anyone else lease a 2017 at end of August/beginning of September and feel like they get hosed on the deal? I checked with 5 dealers in my area and every single one had the same lease pricing structure for 36 month/15k mile lease on GT AWD: 55% residual and 0.0004 MF plus $600 lease cash (all...

    Latest Infotainment System Update

Another glitch that was present in 441 that I thought was gone with 502 but it happened for the first time today after having upgraded last week: sometimes when disabling/turning off traction control (using TCS swtich) it actually turns off the Lane-Keep Assist (LAS). When I press the TCS button...

    Latest Infotainment System Update

Update: blind spot monitoring is working, but it works differently now. It only alerts me (lights up) if someone is approaching from behind and moves into my blind spot. It no longer lights up if I pass a vehicle and then it moves into my blind spot.

    Latest Infotainment System Update

I just updated mine myself yesterday from 441 to 502 due to a few issues/quirks and reboot issues. It does seem a bit quicker to boot up and all of the prior issues seem to be gone but a new issue arose: blind spot monitoring is no longer working. I tried resetting individual settings, default...

    2016+ CX9 Bose Audio Settings

I just picked up a 2017 CX-9 GT last week and I've been playing with the audio settings all week trying to find something that works to help the muddy sounding bass issue. It seemed that even when I turned the bass down to -2 or -3 the low bass was still distorted and the mid-bass sort of...
