    Front stabilizers

sweet. Thanks for the tips. I got an email from Rockauto telling me that they were the correct part for my P5 so hopefully the boxes were marked correctly. I'll try the breakerbar/PB first and go to the dremel/angle grinder last.

    Front stabilizers

I got my new endlinks today and need to swap out my winter tires anyways. Gonna give this a shot. Sounds like a dremel can be used if the endlinks are stuck. I'll try the PB blaster and breaker first, but am prepared to cut the bolts if need be. Once they're off, there's nothing to do but bolt...

    Front stabilizers

On my invoice, it reads: Front Stabilizers links are loose. Right is broken. I'll try to get under there and take a look. If one is broken, I should be able to see that. I'll try to post a pic.

    Front stabilizers

Hey folks, Just got new belts/pump installed on my '03 MP5 and was told I needed new (or repaired?) front stabilizers. I can't seem to find much on it with the search function. Is that the front sway bar? Is this something I could do myself? (My mechanical skill with this car has basically just...

    15" steel rims for P5/MP3

I'm trying to put some snow wheels together and got a good deal on some 15" dunlops. Looking for some 15" steelies to go with them. 5x114.3, 6-6.5" wide..50+ offset, 67.1mm CB. FYI, I'm in Minneapolis, MN. Thanks!

    Compatable rims

HA! It does. Wow, I must be old to just assume '93 was the most current "3" in years.

    Compatable rims

Cool. I'll check out the local machine shops. I'm still curious why one of the rims has '93 accord' scribbled on it in marker. These are 5x114.3, for sure, and I can't find an Accord to match (scratch). The guy I bought them from said he used them on his Camry, and makes sense since the...

    Compatable rims

Is a 6.5" wide rim too large for our MP5?

    Compatable rims

Just measured it. Bolt pattern is 5x114.3. The rim specs are 15x6.5JJ. 6" offset from mounting surface to back of rim. 63.5 bore. You guys are right about the accord though. I'm not sure why they're marked that way. I think the previous owner had them on a Camry. By the looks of it, the center...

    Compatable rims

Looks like it's possible they're from an Accord EX.

    Compatable rims

Hmmm. These are def. 5. I'll have to measure.

    Compatable rims

yeah, it's 5x114.3 with a ~6" offset and bore size looks larger than the stock P5 rims. I'll have to remeasure them. The guy at the shop just said "I tried to put them on and they didn't fit". He gave me no more details. =(

    Compatable rims

After spending a week on craigslist and on various online "measurement" websites, I came out with a set of 15" steelies from a 93 Honda Accord EX for $80. According (see what I did there?) to the info, these rims should fit the protege5, correct? But, I brought them in to be installed and they...

need small rims for p5 for winter pothole driving

So, by the sound of it, these eclipse rims should fit my MP5 ,correct? http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/pts/950400865.html Sorry to be so "posty", but I also saw these rims that are a much better deal. From what I found without knowing the exact year of the camry they came off of, the bolt...

need small rims for p5 for winter pothole driving

Yeah, I'd probably benefit from having 14's being that I live in Minnesota. We seem to have some brutal potholes all winter long.

need small rims for p5 for winter pothole driving

ok, found another. Blizzak 205/55/16 91R WS 60 Rims say 16x61/2j. The calculator says they're 3mph faster than stock. But, I'm concerned about them even fitting in the wheel well. Suggestions?

need small rims for p5 for winter pothole driving

Sorry for being such a newb, but what are the size values? I'm in need of some winter tires/steelies and found something on craigslist with a 185/65R15. Would that work with a MP5?

    Wheel Bearing Issue

FYI - I had that done a few months ago and was quoted everywhere from $300-$500...for one!!! I ended up going to CarX (I know) and they low balled me at $150..then wanted to charge me $800 for new brakes/rotors, which I politely declined and did them myself for about $300 =)
