    I need more head!!!!!

Besides a dealer, since all the internals will be replaced, and there has to be machine work done, I was just wanting a used head. Still in decent condition, but without having to pay the dealer prices.

    I need more head!!!!!

Right now I'm pretty much stock with the exception of the more moderate upgrades, cai, grounding kit. I just sold my honda, therefore I've been contacting beau @mam to find out about the shortblock, and if I gotta pull the motor anyway to put that in, I might as well do the head. I've only got...

    I need more head!!!!!

I was wondering if anyone knows of a company that sells ported and polished heads for the mazdaspeed. Also a good place that sells cams? I have a local shop that does great work, but I can't afford to not have my car for 2+ weeks. And I also haven't found any cams yet. Help, please!!!

    Factory turbo's actual power output

Looking at all the mods that are available for the mazdaspeed(more each day), it seems as though it would put the factory turbo to its test. I've read that the t-25 is good up to about 250 h.p., is that how much the turbo can actually put out, or is that the greatest amount that the combination...

    Under development MSP product line

I can't say too much being that my car is still pretty much stock. But I know just from reading all the forum's that beau's service is second to none, along with his knowledge. To me that means that if there is a problem with running a single open-vent, that the problem will be addressed before...

    GHL vs. Perrin

perrin, this might be kinda strange to answer, but how would you match the 2 exhausts against each other. I know that you would like to say hands down that your exhaust is 10 times better, but could you give me reasons why? I personally like the perrin exhaust, with the muffler location, and the...

    Do the little things matter?

laracroft, thanks for the advice. The point that i'm getting at though, is after someone was to put on the fmic, tbe, engine mngmnt, and others, wouldn't it make sense to maximize all the power potential of those parts by getting every little part to compliment the larger? When working on a n/a...

Anyone know the tba release date. After hearing all the good words about mam, I should have known that they would have a fmic in the works.

    Do the little things matter?

Blkzoom, I know that you are "stock" and all, but besides exhaust, what types of little things should I look into, to get me somewhere close to the 13 sec mark? I know it might seem like a waste of time and money to do the little things verse the bigger, I'm just looking down the road. Cause...

That looks like the best parts list i've ever seen with a fmic kit. I can't wait for a price and pics.

    Do the little things matter?

But with combination of a fmic, turbo-back, sri or cai, built motor, and upped boost, wouldn't the smaller power adders start making more noticeable h.p. I understand that it doesn't seem like 2 h.p. is a lot for $100 or so, but if your car is stock, and you add a fmic, then your gaining 15-20...

Help needed - who makes this exhaust?

It might be more costly, but couldn't you get the perrin setup and have a 3in high-flow cat welded in to keep the emissions legal. This is the same decision that i'm tryin to make right now. tuff one huhhh? (bang)

    Do the little things matter?

I was curious as to how many people have some of the smaller power adders, and what they might be, and their opinions on them. Such as throttlebody, cam gears, cams, u.d. pulleys, short throw, etc. I know that the bigger power adders have been addressed, but I haven't seen too many discussions...

    GHL vs. Perrin

I never thought that just by asking a question like this, that I could gain this much knowledge from so many people. I can't say which one i'll go with yet, until I see some h.p. #'s, and hear some sound clips though. Those that are more fortunate than me that get one of the 2 first, please help...

    Wanted: Built shortblock opinions?

blkzoomzoom, I totally agree with what your saying, only cause i'm kinda cheap myself. Thats why I just want to pay for a properly built motor once, never hit the full potential of what I just paid $3000+ for, and hope that maybe since I'm only using the block for half the potential power, that...

    GHL vs. Perrin

How would the ghl have to ordered to get a very similar sound like the perrin? Also any price info on the ghl w/o cat and resonator? Any sound clip links for the 2. The only reason that I'm so set on one of these 2, is because of quality, and I want the 3 inch for h.p. goals. I've also seen...

    Wanted: Built shortblock opinions?

Any chance someone might be able to further explain the once a year replacement of the toga bearings. I know that its been said that they are more of a race type of bearing, so shouldn't that mean that they would take more stress for a longer time than the stockers. I have to make sure that this...

Does size matter? a fmic question

Just like everyone else out there, I have a specific goal in mind. But I don't want to make the mistake of buying 1 fmic like the hiboost(not saying that theres anything wrong with it), but have to buy a bigger one later to accomplish my h.p. goals. Even if it means that I will be...

    GHL vs. Perrin

Thanks alot! On the ghl website you can't see the full amount of quality that this product has. Very nice looking product along with looking tough. I think you as well as the other members input helped me to realize that the s-pipe is a very needed part. Thanks for all your help, and keep me...
