    LankyKiwi's Rally-flavored SP20

I highly recommend the BC coilovers. I bought a never used set from a forum member years ago and they have been great. I think I've abused them for at least 10yrs. I will say mine are pretty stiff so I feel every bump on the road but when you hit those curves, it handles like it's on rails.

Trying brother. Need to pick me up a reliable daily so I can work on the Protege more.

    PCB's Unbuild Thread

Every time I've had a seized bolt, and just used sheer force to get it out, I ended up breaking the head offer whether it was a breaker bar or impact. What "improved the odds of success" was using pb blaster (or some sort of penetrating oil) and taps with a hammer. I'd alternate that every...

    Project - Rum Runner

I've been fighting a P0401 code for a good while that prevented me from registering my car. I replaced the EGR valve but that didn't fix it. After much research I figured that the port within the intake manifold, that leads to the EGR, was clogged so I decided to clean it out. The throttle...

Ah, I see it now that you pointed it out. My roof top is in worse shape thanks to the sun. Yours looks great in comparison.

    Project - Rum Runner

The Protege is running. It feels good to drive it around. (cabpatch) I got so excited I even installed some parts that have been on a shelf for about 5yrs. Finally got my Mazdaspeed gauges on, my 3 spoke steering wheel, and my intermittent wiper switch. I still need to get it road...

    HID Ballast replacement

It's been so long since I've posted that I was looking for an "Electrical" section within Proteges until I realized it's considered an "old" Mazda now... ouch. :) So I believe I need to replace one of the ballasts on my hid kit as one of the headlights turns off while driving at night. I have...

    Mazda 323F 1996 1.8 electric problem

I gotta agree on checking the codes first as this will give you an idea of where to start looking. Vacuum lines can be an issue with a car that old. It would probably be best if you replace all the vacuum hoses unless you know for sure that they've been replaced recently.

    the Stance Thread v2.0

It says Stanced... not Slammed LOL! J/k. The Xterra looks a lot better with that solid axle in the back. I take it the link bars didn't give you too much grief?

    The Slammed Life

Had I kept up with my Japanese I'd probably be able to buy some stuff on YAJ. I'll have to resort to Google Translate LOL! I'm trying to get my Protege back on the road though it's not slammed. Maybe I'll slam it just for pics.
