    Guide Mazda5 PJCan 4.1 Canbus

A member here help me acquire this device. I’m not sure if they want to be called out so I’ll stay anonymous. Big Thank You! PJCan is a custom canbus adapter that fills a void for about $50. You must use it with an Android based radio. It works with other Mazdas but you'll need to check. Has...

    Mazda5 Damper Recommendations?

What a blast from the past! Those are famous but I believe they are intended to be used by stock MS3 owners to get a little more travel from the damper before hitting a more forgiving bump stop. In case you didn't know, Shaikh started FCM with the Miata community. He is truly passionate about...

    Recommendations for new brake pads?

Browsing rockauto? Some (most) brands don't actually make their products and sell relabeled products from 'various' manufacturers +markup. Google "who makes ____ pads" or ask in BITOG forum. Sometimes you can easily tell b/c they would use the same underlying part number + a few distinct...

    Mazda5 Damper Recommendations?

I've had them for ~60K now and the rears have gotten progressively soft and I feel are in need of replacement, prob ~10K ago. I'm about to email Bilstein to better understand how their 'limited lifetime' warranty works... Impression when things were bright, shiny, and new...

    Recommendations for new brake pads?

Centric is fine (esp their HD series) but absolutely do not recommend the C-Tek, bottom of the line, stuff. I firmly believe they are only meant for people to slap on to sell used cars to say 'new brake job' or can't afford a dollar more and just need to get by. Brakes matter. Equality...

    Recommendations for new brake pads?

Are you looking for brands to research or a line to buy? All mfg make products in a wide ranges or quality/purpose so this is too subjective. My bias opinion is Hawk street 5.0 followed by Akebono, which is OEM but NOT the value line. OR, buy what you can catch on sale 🥸

    Mazda5 Damper Recommendations?

Respect for calling it a Miata and not MX-5 👍 Sounds like read/know some of Fatcat's discussions on bump stops (jounce bumpers)? Miss the Miata community. I have B4s (twin tubed) all-around. Don't know your budget but I would typically recommend KYB all around, BUT make sure you opt for the...

What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

I thought you can’t insure a car with a “salvage” title. You have to get it state inspected/certified (proper paper work on repairs and kinda expensive, inspectors are tough) to get back to “reconstructed” title, which you can then insure. I’m no expert, just briefly looked into and consider...

What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

Glad no one was hurt. I am shocked you have collision coverage!? It's a blessing in disguise b/c premiums would exceed the cost of the car in the long run... The pic angle is hard to tell but it looks like there's some frame damage judging by the gap difference between the hood and headlights...
